중등예비교사의 다문화인식과 다문화수용성이 다문화 교수효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 중등예비교사를 대상으로 다문화인식과 다문화수용성이 다문화 교수효능감에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 목적을 두고 광주지역에 소재한 C대학교에 재학 중인 1~4학년 208명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 2019년 1월 2일부터 3일까지 이틀 간에 걸쳐 설문조사를 수행하였다. 수집된 설문 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 다문화관련 수업 경험이 있는 중등예비교사가 다문화 수용성이 높게 나타났고, 다문화 친구가 있는 중등예비교사가 다문화 인식 및 다문화 교수효능감이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화 인식의 의식적 요인과 다문화 수용성의 보편성 요인은 다문화 교수효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 다문화 학생들과 소통하고 이들이 학교생활에 적응할 수 있도록 중등교사 양성과정에서 다문화 교수효능감을 함양할 수 있는 다양한 방안을 검토해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of pre-service secondary teachers’ perception and acceptability of multiple cultures on the multicultural teaching efficacy, and the survey was conducted in 208 undergraduate students, in years 1 to 4 at University C in Gwangju, from January 1 to 2, 2019. Data collected from the questionnaires was analyzed using SPSS, and results of the analysis are as follows. First, pre-service secondary teachers with experience in educating students from multicultural families showed high acceptance of multiple cultures, and pre-service secondary teachers with friends from multi-cultural families are shown to have high perception of multiple cultures and high efficacy of multicultural teaching. Second, the consciousness of perception of multiple cultures and universality of acceptability of multiple cultures showed to have positive influences over the efficacy of multicultural teaching. Therefore, it would be necessary to examine and devise plans for supporting pre-service secondary teachers to enhance their abilities to communicate with students from multicultural families and help them adopting into school in order to the efficacy of multicultural teaching.
