아동의 패턴 과제 해결과정에서 나타난 시선추적 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 시선추적 방법을 활용하여 패턴 과제 해결과정에서 아동이 얼마나 정확하게 과제를 해결하는지, 그리고 시선이 어느 부분에 얼마나 자주 고정되며, 얼마나 오랫동안 머무르는지 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 취학 전 만 5세 아동을 대상으로 2018년 10월 25일부터 11월12일까지 시선추적 자료를 수집하였다. 패턴 생성방식(반복, 성장, 대칭, 회전)과 표현형태(그림, 숫자)에 따라 8개 과제에 대한 정답률, 시선고정 개수, 시선고정 지속시간을 Friedmann 검정을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 아동의 패턴 과제 정답률은 패턴 생성방식에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 반복, 대칭, 성장, 회전패턴 순으로 정확하게 인식하고 있었고, 정답률은 패턴 표현형태인 그림과 숫자에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 시선고정 개수와 지속시간도 패턴 생선방식과 표현형태 모두에서 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 패턴 과제에서 AOI에 대한 시선고정 개수와 지속시간은 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 시선고정 개수와 시선고정 지속시간은 AOI 중 문제에서 가장 많이 나타났다. 이를 통해 아동은 패턴 과제를 해결할 때 문제 영역을 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 반복, 대칭, 성장, 회전패턴 순으로 아동에게 과제를 제시할 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

Using eye-tracking method, it was analyzed how accurately 5 years old children solved problems, how often the child s eye movement was fixed, and how long it stayed. For this purpose, a analysis was carried out the correct answer rate, fixation number, and fixation duration for eight tasks according to the pattern generation method(repetition, growth, symmetry, rotation) and expression type (figure and number). As a result, firstly, the pattern correctness rate of the children was higher in order of repetition, symmetry, growth, and rotation pattern, and there was a significant difference. There was no significant difference in the percentage of correct answers between number and the figure in the pattern expression. Secondly, there was no significant difference between the pattern generation method and the expression type for the fixation number and fixation duration of eye tracking. Thirdly, it was analyzed fixation number, fixation duration of eye-tracking on each area of interest(AOI) on pattern tasks. The fixation number and fixation duration of eye-tracking of each AOI were significantly different in all pattern tasks. In addition, the fixation number and fixation duration of eye- tracking were the highest in the problem of AOI. Through these results, the child was able to know that the problem was the most important when solving the pattern problem. It suggests that children need to present pattern tasks in the order of repetition, symmetry, growth, and rotation patterns.
