중등 예비교사 교육에서 융합교육 프로그램의 운영 사례

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 경기도 소재의 한 사범대학에서 2018년도 1학기에 대학 기초 교양 강좌로 개설된 ‘창의융합교육의 이해’ 강좌의 운영 사례를 소개하고, 그 강좌에서 제공된 다양한 학습 경험이 예비교사들의 융합인재교육(STEAM) 교수 역량에 미치는 효과에 대해서 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 총 25명의 수학교육, 한문교육, 체육교육 전공의 예비교사들이 연구에 참여하였으며, 수업은 2018년도 3월부터 6월까지 총 15주에 걸쳐서 진행되었다. 예비교사들의 STEAM 교수 역량의 변화와 교원양성과정에 서 융합교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 탐색하고자 사전, 사후 STEAM 교수 역량 검사지, 강좌 만족도 조사지, STEAM 수업 반성지 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 사전, 사후 STEAM 교수 역량 검사 자료는 대응표본 t-검정 및 윌 콕슨 부호화순위검정을 통해서 이루어졌고, 분석 결과에 의하면, ‘창의융합교육의 이해’ 강좌에서 제공된 다양한 학습 경험이 ‘STEAM 교육 지식’, ‘교과내용 지식’, ‘교수-학습 방법’, ‘학습 참여 유도’, ‘수업 상황 및 환경’, ‘학습자 평가’, ‘개인적 자질’ 그 리고 ‘STEAM 교육 태도’ 측면에서 예비교사들의 STEAM 교수 역량을 발달시키는 데 매우 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 교원양성과정에서 융합교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영을 위한 몇 가지 시사점이 도출되었는데, 주요 내용은 기 개발된 STEAM 수업 자료 활용, STEAM 수업 시연을 위해 실제 중등학교 수업 상황에 준하는 환경 조성 또는 학교 현장과 연계를 통한 수업 경험의 필요성, 원활한 팀 활동 수행을 위한 수업 설계 전략 등에 대한 내용이다.

영문 초록

In this study, the case of the implementation of ‘Understanding of Creative․ Integrative Education’ course, which was established as a basic liberal arts course in the first semester of 2018 at one college of education in Gyeonggi province was introduced and the effects of the various learning experiences provided in the course on pre-service teachers’ teaching competency for STEAM education were examined. A total of 25 pre-service teachers in mathematics education, Sino-korean education, and physical education major participated in the research. The course was held from March to June 2018 for a total of 15 weeks. To investigate the changes in teaching competency for STEAM education of pre-service teachers and implications for the development and operation of the integrated education program in pre-service teacher education curriculum, pre and post tests, course satisfaction survey, and STEAM class reflection journal data were collected and analyzed. The pre-and post test data were analyzed through paired t-test and Wilcoxon’s signed-ranks test. According to the results, the diverse learning experiences provided in the course were very effective in developing pre-service teachers’ teaching competencies for STEAM education in terms of ‘STEAM education knowledge’, ‘curriculum content knowledge’, ‘teaching and learning methods’, ‘learning participation’, ‘learning environments and circumstances’, ‘learner evaluation’, ‘personal qualifications’, and ‘attitude toward STEAM education’. Based on the results of the study, several implications were drawn for the development and operation of integrative education program in the pre-service teacher education curriculum. The main contents were about the use of previously developed STEAM class materials, the need for teaching practice in an environment similar to the real secondary school classroom or in the real classroom, and the instructional design strategy to facilitate team activities.
