교사의 폭력피해 경험 실태 및 정신건강, 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 교사의 폭력피해 경험 실태를 알아보고, 폭력피해 경험, 정신건강과 심리적 웰빙 간의 관계를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초·중·고 교사를 대상으로 폭력피해 경험, 정신건강, 심리적 웰빙에 대한 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 207명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 상당수의 교사들이 지난 1년 동안 폭력피해 경험이 있다고 응답하였으며, 폭력 유형 중에서는 비방 및 배제를 가장 많이 경험한 것으로 드러났다. 인구사회학적 변인에 따른 폭력 피해 경험에서는 교직경력과 연령대에 따라서만 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 교사의 폭력피해 경험은 심리적 웰빙에 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 두 변인 간의 관계에서 정신건강은 완전 매개 효과를 보이는 것으로 드러났다. 즉, 교사의 폭력 피해 경험은 정신건강에 의해 매개되어 심리적 웰빙에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 따라서 폭력피해로 인해 정신건강에 문제가 생기지 않도록 폭력사건에 대한 조기개입 및 적절한 상담 및 심리치료 서비스를 제공하는 것이 중요하다고 볼 수 있겠다. 본 연구는 심리적 측면에서 교사의 폭력피해, 정신건강, 심리적 웰빙의 관련성을 연구하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖고 있으며, 추후 교사의 폭력피해를 예방하고 해결하기 위한 다양한 연구들이 보완되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the actual condition of violence victimization experience of teachers and relation with mental health, psychological well-being. To do so, the questionnaires about violence victimization experience, mental health, psychological well-being were conducted on teachers of elementary·middle·hgh school. The 207 data were analyzed finally. Major findings were as follows. First, considerable number of 207 teachers reported that they had been victims of violence by students within one year. Among the types of violence, they faced slander and exclusion by students. According to demographic variables, in terms of teaching career and age, there was difference in violence victimization experience. Second, violence victimization experience of teachers had negative influence on psychological well-being. And the mental health had perfect mediation effect on between violence victimization experience and psychological well-being. Therefore, to provide early intervention, counseling and psychological therapy on the incident of violence will be important. This study bears significance as it investigated the relation of violence victimization experience, mental health and psychological well-being psychological perspectives. Finally, many studies will be needed to prevent and solve violence victimization of teachers.
