유아교육기관에서 유아가 체험하는 행복의 실존적 의미

국문 초록

본 연구는 해석학적 현상학의 관점에 근거하여 유아교육기관이란 생활세계 속에서 유아가 체험한 행복을 해석함으로써 유아의 행복에 대한 이해의 지평을 넓히고 교육실천적 함의를 얻는데 목적을 두었다. ‘유아가 유아교육기관에서 체험하는 행복의 의미는 어떠한가?’라는 연구문제에 따라 유치원과 어린이집에 다니고 있는 만 5세 유아 35명으로부터 개별 면담과 미술적 표상 활동을 통해 행복 체험을 나타내는 텍스트를 수집하였다. 수집된 연구텍스트를 대상으로 유아의 행복이라는 현상의 본질적 의미를 네 개의 실존체(Van Manen, 1994), 즉 체험적 공간(공간성), 체험된 신체(신체성), 체험된 시간(시간성), 체험된 인간관계(관계성)의 차원에서 분석 및 해석하였다. 연구결과, 본 연구에 참여한 유아들은 ‘의미가 생성되는 열린 공간(공간성)’에서 ‘경계를 넘나드는 자유로운 몸(신체성)’으로, ‘일상과 몰입의 시간(시간성)’과 ‘친밀하고 편안한 관계(관계성)’ 속에서 행복을 체험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The research was to expand the phenomenological understandings about children s happiness through the experienced happiness in educational institutions. The participants were thirty five 5 year old children. The texts were collected through 2 times individual interviews and pictorial representations on their happiness experiences, and were analyzed by systematic analytic hierarchy processes. The results were as follows. First, the spatial of the happiness that children have experienced in the institutions was interpreted to ‘open space where meanings are created’. Second, the physical happiness that children have experienced in the institutions was interpreted to ‘free body which is across the boundaries’. Third, the time of the happiness that children have experienced in the institutions was interpreted to ‘time of daily life and flow’. Finally, the relationship of the happiness that children have experienced in the institutions was interpreted to ‘intimate and comfortable relations’.
