전공불일치감 수준과 학업성취에 따른 대학생활적응과 진로결정자기효능감의 차이

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 전공불일치 경험과 학업성취와의 관계를 경험적으로 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 첫째, 전공불일치감 수준과 학업성취에 따른 집단구분 및 비율은 어떻게 나타나는가? 둘째, 전공불일치감 수준과 학업성취에 따라 구분된 4개 집단 간에 대학생활적응과 진로결정자기효능감은 각각 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 하는 연구문제를 설정하였다. 자료는 충남 소재, 4년제 대학 4곳의 재학생으로부터 수집되었고(2016. 11. 8~11. 29), 490명의 자료가 분석되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전공불일치감과 학업성취의 고·저 수준에 따라 A(학업고성취-전공불일치, 21.2%), B(학업저성취-전공불일치, 17.1%), C(학업고성취-전공일치, 53.9%), D(학업저성취-전공일치, 7.8%)의 4개 집단으로 분류됨을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 학업성취 수준이 높지만 전공불일치를 경험하는 학생들, 학업성취 수준이 낮지만 전공일치를 경험하는 학생들이 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 전공일치감이 높은 C, D집단이 전공불일치감이 높은 A, B집단에 비해 대학생활적응의 관점에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 집단에 따른 진로결정자기효능감의 차이를 분석한 결과, C집단과 A, B집단 사이에서도 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이를 토대로 대학생의 전공불일치가 현재의 대학생활적응 그리고 미래의 진로탐색을 예견하는 중요한 기준이 됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to classify college students according to their level of major disagreement and academic achievement, and to examine the difference between college life adjustment and career decision self - efficacy according to their classification results. For this study, 490 college students from four university colleges in Chungcheongnam - do were collected in November, 2016. Finally, 217 data were used for grouping. The results of the study are as follows. First, according to high and low level of major disagreement and academic achievement, A (academic achievement - major disagreement, 21.2%), B (underachievement - major disagreement, 17.1%), C (academic achievement - major agreement, 53.9 ), and D (underachievement - major agreement, 7.8%). Second, the C and D groups were statistically significantly higher than the A and B groups in college life adjustment. As a result of analysis of difference of career decision self-efficacy according to groups, statistically significant difference was found between C group and A and B group. Through these results, it can be confirmed that the major disagreement among college students is an important predictor of current college life adjustment and future career search. In addition, it was found that a support plan considering the characteristics of the sub - group, which shows different levels of mismatch and academic achievement, is needed. The implications were discussed based on the results of this study.
