초등 교원양성기관의 입학전형 및 전형요소 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등 교원양성기관의 특수성을 고려한 선도적인 입학전형제도에의 접근을 위해 우리나라 초등 교원양성기관의 대입전형제도를 비교하였다. 이를 위해, 우리나라 대입제도의 의의와 동향을 파악하고 초등 교원양성기관의 특성을 살핀 후 우리나라 초등양성기관 전국 13개 대학의 2018학년도 수·정시 입학전형을 전수 수집하여 각 대학에서 현재 실시하고 있는 대입전형의 유형을 분류하고 대입전형 및 전형요소를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과 초등 교원양성대학은 수시모집을 통해 59%의 인원을 선발하며, 전형은 모집시기와 주요 전형요소에 따라 4개의 유형으로 분류할 수 있다. 각 대학의 기준에 따라 세부 전형과 비율, 전형 유형 등이 다르게 설정되었으나 전형 방법과 절차는 공정성과 객관성 확보를 위해 다수 다단계 평가로 보편화되어 있다. 평가 자료는 학생부와 자기소개서, 교사추천서를 주로 활용하며 모든 대학에서 면접을 실시한다. 서류평가와 면접은 대학 간 평가항목 및 요소에서 유사함을 확인할 수 있으며 서류평가는 지식 및 기술, 인성 및 태도, 교직 적성으로 면접은 발표 및 표현능력, 인성 및 태도, 교직 적성으로 평가요소를 분류할 수 있다. 초등 교원양성기관에서 설정한 주요 평가 요소들은 그 정의와 평가가 다소 어려우며 교육정책 변화에 대응한 새로운 인재 교육에 필요한 자질 설정 등이 미흡하다. 각 대학에서는 이러한 점을 고려하여 평가 기준 및 지표 설정에 대한 구체적인 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to compare the admission system of national universities of education in Korea for the approach to initiating admission system in consideration of the specificity of elementary school teacher training institute. For this purpose, it was identified the importance and trend of the university entrance system that has a special meaning in a socioeconomic terms of the nation, classified by the type of the current admission system with research about the present condition of the admission process of 2018 after investigating the characteristics of the elementary school teacher training institute, and made a comparative analysis of the admission system and the admission criteria. The national universities of education in Korea select students through the 59% of early admission with total 13 universities including 10 district s universities of education and 3 other universities. The admission criteria is classified into four different types according to the admission periods and the major selection factor, and each university has different set-up for detailed admission selection, proportion, and admission type depending on their own standard, but the method and the process of admission are generalized to secure fairness and objectivity, and the assessment criteria and the factor are also similar. However, the major assessment factors in the set by the elementary school teacher training institute are inadequate to be defined and evaluated, and are insufficient to establish the qualification needed for the new human resource education against the change of educational policy. Considering these above, each university needs to make a specific, continuous effort on a evaluation criteria and an indicator setting to improve the evaluation conformity.
