국문 초록

발명 음악 기보법은 다양한 기준으로 범주들이 구분되고 있다. 본 연구는 발명음악 기보법 관련 선행 연구에서 공통적으로 나타나는 기보법의 목적 및 분류 기준을 분석하여 발명 음악 기보법의 범주 체계를 구축하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 발명 음악 기보법에 관한 연구들을 비교 분석하여 기보법에 대한 목적을 파악하고 범주화하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 발명 음악 기보법은 아동들의 음악 이해도를 평가하는데 유용하고 음악적 발달 상황을 알려주는 목적으로 사용되고 있었다. 둘째, 발명 음악 기보법 관련 문헌에서는 연구자마다 구분하는 범주와 그것을 구분 짓는 기준이 각각 상이하게 나타났으며 음악 수업에 사용된 음악 활동 유형에 따라 기보 범주가 다르게 구분되어지고 있었다. 셋째, 발명음악 기보법에 관련한 연구물을 비교 분석한 결과, 기보법에서 사용되는 범주는 2개에서 12개까지 나타났으며 이를 발명 음악 기보법의 포괄적인 구분과 범주에 따라 6개로 범주화하는 것을 제안하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 다양한 발명 음악 기보법을 모아 분류 기준을 설정하여 범주화하였다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

영문 초록

A variety of criteria has been used to differentiate the various categories within invented musical notations. The purpose of this study is to find commonalities in the objectives and categorization criteria from case studies that deal with invented musical notations in order to provide initial material for constructing a comprehensive organizational framework of invented musical notation categories. Towards this purpose, a comparative case study was conducted to ascertain the various research objectives and categories, and the following conclusions were reached: firstly, that invented musical notations are being used as accepted and valid tools for evaluating children’s level of musical understanding; secondly, that there is a wide range in the categories of invented musical notations as well as the criteria used to categorize them depending on the type of musical activity carried out for the research; thirdly, from the case studies, the number of categories of invented musical notations within each study varied from as little as two to as many as twelve, which, based on a comprehensive categorization suggested by the findings, were able to be categorized into six total categories. The significance of this research lies in collecting the various categories of invented musical notations presented by different researches, showing the differences and similarities between the various categories and categorization criteria, and regrouping those various categories based on a comprehensive criteria.
