국문 초록

이 연구는 대학 의사소통 교육의 이론과 방법의 하나로 스토리텔링의 개념과 이론을 적용해 보고 그가능성을 모색한다. 스토리텔링은 전통적으로는 서사이론의 핵심으로, 최근의 연구동향에서는 문화콘텐츠 및 게임 산업의 핵심으로 주목받아 왔다. 그간 대학 글쓰기 교육은 표준화된 기준과 형식을 어느정도 갖추어왔음에도 불구하고, 각 대학의 상황과 여건, 시대적 조류나 유행 상황에 따라 너무나 유동적이고 변동의 폭이 컸다. 글쓰기 교육에 관한 이론이나 토대가 부족했기 때문이다. 스토리텔링은 서사문학이론의 기초가 되면서도 그 이론의 바탕이 정교하며 매우 입체적이다. 이러한 특성은 글쓰기 교육의 구체적인 방법론을 만들어 줄 뿐 아니라, 학습자들을 적극적인 학습의 주체로 서게 한다. 또한 스토리텔링은 말하기 교육, 나아가 교수학습과정에 적용될 수 있다. 앞으로 대학 글쓰기 교육의 위상과 가치를 더욱 탄탄히 한다는 점에서 그 이론적 토대와 공통의 기반, 근본적 가치와 이념들을 만들어 가는것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 이러한 필요성에 대한 하나의 문제제기다.

영문 초록

This study explores the possibilities of storytelling as a theory and method of college writing education and explores its possibilities. As a core of narrative theory, storytelling has recently been noted by cultural contents and game industries. Although university writing education has some standardized forms, it varies greatly with the trends and the conditions of each university. It is due to the lack of theoretical foundation in writing education. As a basis of narrative theory, storytelling has a sophisticated and multi-dimensional characteristics. These characteristics provide a specific methodology for writing education, and help learners stand as active subjects. Besides, storytelling can be applied to speaking, teaching and learning education. In the future, in order to solidify its status and value, it is necessary to create the theoretical foundation, common ground, and essential values and ideas for college writing education. This study claims this necessity.
