국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 한 중년 여성의 학력콤플렉스를 극복하는 과정을 주제로 하고 있다. 사회문화가 부여한 조건화된 학력 증명서가 없어서 겪은 패배감, 학력을 속이는 죄책감, 사회적 소외감과 차별, 개인적 소망과 진로에 방해되는 요인들을 자문화기술지로 정리하여 분석하였다. 이를 통해서 학력콤플렉스를 경험하는 사람들의 고충을 이해하고 이를 해소할 수 있는 다차원적인 교육지원과 방안을 촉구하고자 하였다. 방법 이 연구목적을 위하여 연구자의 학력에 관한 경험, 기억자료, 부모님과 지인들과의 회상자료, 자녀와 남편과의 대화 자료, 공동연구자 및 석, 박사 동기의 피드백 등을 자료로 정리하였다. 이 자료를 검증하고자 과거에서 현재 순으로 분석한 후, 이를 다시 질적 자료 변화과정을 확인하는 장기코딩으로 수행하였다. 자료 수집 및 분석과정은 삼각 검증 방법을 통해 신뢰도와 타당도를 확보하였다. 결과 이를 수행한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 나의 학력콤플렉스는 단계별로 형성과정, 경험과정, 극복과정으로 도출하였다. 첫째, 형성과정에서 가부장 문화가 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 경험과정에서는 내외적 동기와 불일치한 자기를 느끼며 열등감을 상기하였다. 끝으로, 극복과정에서는 자신, 타인, 세상을 바라보는 관점과 태도가 변화하고 성장하였다. 결론 학력(學力)은 ‘삶의 힘’이며 ‘진정한 자기됨’의 실현이다. 본 연구에서 교육의 중요성을 확인한바 학력신장을 위한 교육적 패러다임에 새로운 방향이 제시되길 바란다.

영문 초록

Objectives The aim of this study is to describe the process of overcoming a middle-aged woman’s academic complex. A sense of defeat, getting from having no a conditioned academic certificate defined by this society, a feeling of guilt to deceive academia, social alienation and discrimination, and factors that hinder personal wishes and career were analyzed by autoethnography. Through this, it was intended to understand the hardships of those experiencing educational complex and to urge multi-dimensional education support and measures to resolve them. Methods For the purpose of this study, the researcher’s educational experience, memory data, recollection data from parents and acquaintances, conversation data with children and husbands, feedback from co-researchers, masters, and doctoral colleagues were compiled. In order to verify this data, it was analyzed from the past to the present, and it was performed by long-term coding to check the process of qualitative data change. The process of data collection and analysis has obtained reliability and validity through triangular verification methods. Results The results of this study are as follows. My educational complex was derived step by step, formation process, experience process, and overcoming process. First, I could see that patriarchal culture influences the formation process. Second, in the course of experience, I felt inferiority complexity because of feeling me there were inconsistent with internal and external motives. Finally, in the process of overcoming it, the perspective and attitude of looking at oneself, others, and the world changed and grew. Conclusions Education is the power of life and the realization of truly being myself. Since this study confirm the importance of education, I hope that a new direction will be presented to the educational paradigm for education attainment.
