학령 후기 아동이 지각한 친구 및 교사의 사회적 지지가 통합적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 학령 후기 아동이 지각한 사회적 지지와 통합적 관점의 안녕감의 관계에서 학교풍토의 매개효과를 검증해보는데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 산광역시, 울산광역시, 경기도 소재 6개 초등학교에 재학 중인 5, 6학년 아동 734명을 대상으로 친구 및 교사의 사회적지지, 통합적 안녕감 및 학교풍토에 대한 설문자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 변인들 간의 관계를 살펴보기 위해 Pearson의 적률상관분석과 다중회귀분석을, 매개효과 검증을 위하여 3단계 위계적 회귀분석 및 부트스트래핑을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 아동이 인식한 사회적 지지, 학교풍토, 통합점 관점의 안녕감 간에는 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 친구와 교사로부터의 사회적 지지는 통합적 관점의 안녕감 및 그 하위요인들에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 그 설명력은 통합적 안녕감, 심리적 안녕감, 사회적 안녕감, 정서적 안녕감 순이었다. 또한 교사보다 친구의 사회적 지지가 아동의 안녕감에 더 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학령 후기 아동의 친구 및 교사의 사회적 지지와 통합적 관점의 안녕감 사이에서 학교풍토가 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났으며 그 효과는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 교육공동체의 주체로서 아동의 안녕감을 증진하기 위해 따뜻한 돌봄과 배움의 교육공동체를 구현하는 학교풍토 조성이 필요함을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of school climate on the relationship between social support and comprehensive well-being of late school age children. Methods The participants were 734 children in the 5th and 6th grades attending 6 elementary schools in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeonggi-do. They answered questions from three rating scales. The relationship between variables was examined through Pearson s product-moment correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Additionally, mediation analysis was conducted using bootstrapping techniques for testing multiple mediators by Hayes’s Process macro for SPSS 25.0. Results First, there were significant correlations among the social support, school climate, and comprehensive well-being of late school age children. Second, as a result of examining the explanatory power that social support influences on integrated well-being and its sub-factors, it was found in the order of integrated well-being, psychological well-being, social well-being, and emotional well-being. Third, school climate partially mediated the relationship between the social support from friends/teacher and the well-being of children. As a result of conducting mediation analysis, the effect of social support on children s comprehensive well-being through school climate was statistically significant. Conclusions The results of this study provide suggestions for increasing social support and building an educational community to form a positive school climate.
