국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 성인초기의 거부민감성과 우울의 관계에서 경험회피와 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 만18~35세 남녀를 대상으로 거부민감성 척도, 경험회피 척도, 사회적 지지 척도, 우울 척도로 구성된 설문을 2020년 4월 9일부터 4월 16일까지 온라인으로 실시하였다. 221명의 설문 결과 중 응답 연령에 맞지 않는 3부를 제외하고 최종 218명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 결과 분석결과 첫째, 거부민감성이 우울에 영향을 미칠 때 경험회피가 이를 완전 매개하였다. 둘째, 거부민감성이 우울에 영향을 미칠 때 사회적 지지는 이를 부분 매개하였다. 셋째, 거부민감성과 우울의 관계에서 경험회피와 사회적 지지는 병렬다중매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 거부민감성이 우울에 직접 영향을 줄 뿐 아니라 경험회피와 사회적 지지를 통해서도 영향을 준다는 것을 보여준다. 결론 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 우울을 경험하는 성인들의 경우 거부민감성의 영향을 고려하여 내적 변인인 경험회피와 외적 변인인 사회적 지지에 초점을 맞추어 상담적 개입이 필요함을 제안하는 한편 본 연구의 한계와 추후 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of experiential avoidance and social support in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and depression in early adulthood. Methods To this end, online surveys were conducted for men and women aged 18 to 35, which consisted of the rejection sensitivity scale, the experiential avoidance scale, the social support scale, and the depression scale. Among the 221 questionnaire results, the final 218 data were analyzed except for the three survey results that did not fit the age range. Results The results were as follows. First, experiential avoidance mediated relationship between rejection sensitivity and depression completely. Second, social support mediated relationship between rejection sensitivity and depression partially. Third, experience avoidance and social support showed a parallel multi-mediation effect in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and depression. It means that rejection sensitivity affects depression directly and affects it indirectly through experiential avoidance and social support. Conclusions Based on these results, it is suggested that counseling interventions can be made for adults experiencing depression by focusing on experiential avoidance as an internal variable and social support as an external variable and taking into account the effects of rejection sensitivity. Finally, the limitations of the study and the suggestions for future research were discussed.
