원격학습 상황에서 대학몰입의 영향요인 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 COVID-19로 갑작스럽게 진행된 원격학습 상황에서 대학생의 개인 특성과 학업 및 사회적 통합 요인이 대학몰입에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 대학생 231명에게 개인 특성, 학업적, 사회적 통합, 대학몰입 관련 변인들로 구성된 설문을 실시하였다. 주요 변인들의 일반적 특성과 관련성을 탐색하기 위하여 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였고, 주요 변수들이 대학몰입에 미치는 영향 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 개인 특성, 학업적 통합, 사회적 통합의 총 3단계의 연구모형을 적용하였다. 결과 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 개인 특성 중 성별은 대학몰입에 영향을 주는 요인임을 확인하였고, 남학생이 여학생보다 대학몰입 수준이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 학년과 실시간 온라인 수업 참여 경험은 대학몰입에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 원격학습 상황에서 사회적 통합은 대학몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 사회적 통합 요인 중에서 교수자와 학습자 간의 학업과 관련한 상호작용이 대학몰입에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그다음은 학습자와 학습자 간의 친밀감 형성을 위한 상호작용이었다. 셋째, 학업적 통합 변인으로 주목한 유의미학습, 반성적학습, 자기주도학습은 대학몰입에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이는 학업적 통합이 대학몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 선행연구들과 다른 결과였다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 원격학습 상황에서 대학생의 대학몰입을 높이기 위한 방안 및 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of university students personal characteristics, academic and social integration factors on institutional commitment in the situation of distance learning that was progressed by COVID-19. Methods To do this, a questionnaire consisting of variables related to institutional commitment, personal characteristics, academic integration, and social integration was conducted to 231 university students, and descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed. Results The main results are as follows. First, Among the personal characteristics of university students, it was confirmed that gender is a factor that influences institutional commitment, and male students showed higher levels of institutional commitment than female students. On the other hand, it was analyzed that the real-time online class participation experience and grade level did not affect institutional commitment. Second, in the context of distance learning, social integration was a factor affecting institutional commitment. Among the social integration factors, it was found that academic interaction between teachers and learners had the greatest effect on institutional commitment. The interaction between learners and learners to form intimacy was also a factor influencing institutional commitment. Third, meaningful learning, reflective learning, and self-directed learning which are academic integration factors did not affect institutional commitment. Conclusions These results differed from previous studies that showed academic integration had a positive effect on institutional commitment.
