아버지의 놀이참여와 양육스트레스가 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 아버지의 놀이참여 및 양육스트레스와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입과의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 대구광역시에 소재한 유치원 2곳의 만 3, 4, 5세 자녀를 둔 아버지와 그들의 자여 180명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 아버지의 놀이참여, 아버지의 양육스트레스와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입 검사도구를 활용하여 자료를 수집하고, Pearson의 적률상관분석 및 단계선택방식의 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 아버지의 놀이참여와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입과의 관계에서 아버지의 놀이참여 전체와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입 전체 간에 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 나타났으며, 신체놀이와 게임은 이상발달, 과도한 추구, 집착적 사용과 스마트기기 과몰입 전체에 교수놀이와 기능놀이는 과도한 추구와 집착적 사용과 스마트기기 과몰입 전체에 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지의 양육스트레스와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입과의 상관관계에서 아버지의 양육스트레스 전체와 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입 전체 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입을 가장 의미있게 설명하는 변인은 부모역할에 대한 부담감 및 디스트레스와 신체놀이로 나타났다. 결론 유아의 스마트기기 과몰입을 방지하기 위해 아버지의 양육스트레스 감소 및 놀이참여의 중요성을 밝혔으며, 효과적인 아버지 참여 부모교육 프로그램과 사회적 시스템 지원의 필요성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The objective of this study was to examine the relationships of fathers’ play participation, parenting stress, and young children’s overuse of smart devices. Methods The study participants included 180 fathers of 3 to 5-year-old children from two kindergartens in Daegu Metropolitan City, and their children. Data was collected utilizing measurements for fathers’ play participation, fathers’ parenting stress, and young children’s overuse of smart devices. Data analyses were conducted using Pearson’s correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis of stepwise selection method. Results The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significantly negative correlations between the relationship of father’s play participation and young children’s overuse of smart devices. Physical play and games had significantly negative correlations with abnormal development, excessive pursuit, obsessive usage, and overuse of smart devices, while teaching play and functional play had significantly negative correlations with excessive pursuit, obsessive usage, and overuse of smart devices. Second, the correlation between fathers’ parenting stress and young children’s overuse of smart devices, indicated significantly positive correlations between the fathers’ parenting stress and the young children’s overuse of smart devices. Third, from the variables that could explain the overuse of smart devices of young children, the most meaningful were pressure of parents’ role, de-stress, and physical play. Conclusions The results of this study revealed the importance of fathers’ participation in play and the need to decrease fathers’ parenting stress to prevent young children’s overuse of smart devices. This study also emphasizes the necessity of father participation for an effective parent education program.
