교양교육에 대한 발달장애 대학생의 만족도 및 지원요구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 교양교육에 대한 발달장애대학생의 만족도를 조사하고, 필요한 지원요구 사항들을 알아보는데 있다. 연구 참여자는 실험집단으로 현재 4년제 A대학교에 재학 중인 발달장애대학생 95명과 비교집단으로 비장애대학생 69명이다. 방법 이를 위하여 Likert형 설문지, 기술형 질문지를 통한 조사방법으로 설계하였고, 추가적으로 실험집단 연구 참여자 8명을 선정하여 반 구조화된 심층면담을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석과 집단비교를 위한 t-검정과 분산분석을 실시하였다. 결과 발달장애대학생들은 다음과 같은 결과를 보였다. 첫째, 교양교육에 대한 만족도는 비장애대학생들과 비교하여 유의미하게 낮았다. 둘째, 교수 영역별 만족도 비교에서 5개 영역 중 ‘교수내용’ 부분에서 만족도가 유의미하게 낮았다. 셋째, 교양과목 수강을 어렵게 하는 이유로 ‘학습내용’ ‘과제 난이도와 양’ ‘담당교수의 교수방법’ 등을 들었다. 또한 교양과목 수강에 필요한 지원요구 내용 내용으로는 ‘학습도우미’ ‘예습자료 및 복습자료’ ‘좀 더 쉬운 교수방법’ 등을 들었다. 결론 본 연구는 발달장애대학생을 위한 교양교육 환경이 특수교육적 요구 지원 방향으로 개선될 때 통합 상황의 장애학생 교양교육 효율성이 높아질 수 있다는 점을 보여준다. 더불어 발달장애대학생 고등교육 활성화를 위해서는 개별화된 학습 지원 환경을 제공하는 것이 중요하다는 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to survey the satisfaction and support requests on general education for college students with developmental disabilities(DD). Methods 95 students with DD in experimental group and 69 college students(non-DD) in comparative group participated in this study which include surveys and interviews. This study was designed by Likert and description questionnaires, also interviewed by semi-structured method on 8 students to have meaning results about subjects. The information collected was employed by a descriptive statistics, t-test, variance analysis approaches. Results The finding of this study is as follows. First, satisfaction of general education for students with DD is significantly less than non-DD. Second, satisfaction of ‘teaching contents’ of 5 domains in general education is significantly the lowest for students with DD. Third, difficult reasons which to attend a general lecture show ‘teaching content’ ‘task difficulty and amount’ ‘teaching method of professor in charge’. Wishes which to attend a general lecture also show ‘learning assistant’ ‘prepare materials’ ‘more ease teaching method of professor in charge’. Conclusions This study show that effectiveness of general education can be upgraded when special education demands is applied to students with DD in inclusion. These findings further suggest that individualized learning support environment should be more invigorated on post-secondary educations of college students with DD.
