어머니와 청소년 자녀의 자아존중감 및 행복감과 자녀의 학업열의 간의 관계

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 어머니와 자녀의 자아존중감이 그들의 행복감을 매개로 자녀의 학업열의에 미치는 영향과, 변인간 관계 내에서 행위자-상대자 효과를 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국아동·청소년패널조사 KCYPS 2018년 자료를 활용하였으며, 중학교 1학년 청소년 자녀와 자녀의 어머니 총 2191쌍을 대상으로 분석하였다. 어머니와 자녀는 서로 영향을 주고받는 가족임으로 상호의존모형(APIM)분석 방법을 사용하면 어머니 자아존중감이 자녀의 행복감과 학업열의에 미치는 영향뿐 아니라, 자녀의 자아존중감이 어머니의 행복감과 자신의 학업열의에 미치는 영향을 함께 살펴볼 수 있다. 결과 분석결과, 행위자 효과의 경우 어머니의 자아존중감이 높을수록 어머니의 행복감이 높아지는 것으로 나타났고, 자녀의 자아존중감이 높을수록 자녀의 행복감이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 자녀의 자아존중감이 높을수록 자녀의 학업열의도 높은 것을 확인할 수 있다. 상대자 효과의 경우 어머니의 자아존중감이 행복감을 매개로 높아질수록 자녀의 학업열의가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 어머니의 자아존중감이 자녀의 행복감과 학업열의에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났고 자녀의 자아존중감도 어머니의 행복감에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 학문적, 실제적 시사점을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 어머니와 자녀의 자아존중감, 행복감, 그리고 자녀의 학업열의 간의 관계를 이전 연구들과는 달리 APIM의 방법을 통해 상호 어떻게 작용하는지 종합적으로 확인을 할 수 있다는 것에서 연구의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study analyzed the relationship between mother and child s self-esteem and happiness, and their children s academic enthusiasm by applying the actor-partner interdependence model (APIM). Methods The Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey KCYPS 2018 data was used, and a total of 2191 pairs of adolescent children and their mothers were analyzed. Since mothers and children are a family that influences each other, using the Interdependence Model (APIM) analysis method not only affects the mother s self-esteem on the happiness and academic enthusiasm of the children, but also the child s self-esteem affects the mother s happiness and self-study. The effect on enthusiasm can be examined together. Results As a result of the analysis, in the case of the actor effect, the higher the mother s self-esteem, the higher the mother s sense of happiness, and the higher the child s self-esteem, the higher the child s sense of happiness. And the higher the child s self-esteem, the higher the child s academic enthusiasm. As for the partner effect, the higher the mother s happiness, the higher the child s academic enthusiasm, but the mother s self-esteem did not significantly affect the child s happiness and academic enthusiasm. And it was found that the child s self-esteem did not significantly affect the mother s happiness. Conclusions Unlike previous studies, this study is meaningful in that it was able to comprehensively confirm how the relationship between mother and child s self-esteem, happiness, and child s academic enthusiasm was able to interact with each other through APIM.
