중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 사이버 폭력 가해경험에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 사이버 폭력 가해경험의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 관계가 사회적위축과 자아존중감에 의해 순차적으로 매개되는지 확인하는 데 있었다. 방법 이를 위해, 한국 아동·청소년 패널조사 2018(KCYPS 2018)의 제2차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 분석대상은 중학교 1학년 학생 2438명(남학생 1,318명, 여학생 1,120명)을 대상으로 하였다. 이중매개 모형을 검증하기 위하여 SPSS 26.0과 PROCESS Macro를 사용하였고 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping) 방법을 활용하여 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 결과 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 사회적위축은 가해경험과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였고, 자아존중감과 가해경험과는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 회귀분석 결과 중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도는 사회적위축과 사이버 폭력 가해경험에 정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 자아존중감에는 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 사회적위축은 자아존중감에는 부적인 영향을, 사이버 폭력 가해 경험에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하였고, 자아존중감은 사이버 폭력 가해 경험에 부적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 중학생이 지각한 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 사이버 폭력 가해경험 간의 관계에서 사회적위축과 자아존중감의 순차적 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이러한 결과를 통하여, 부모의 부정적 양육태도, 사회적위축, 자아존중감을 함께 고려한 중학생의 사이버 폭력 가해행동 억제를 위한 효과적인 개입방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and their cyberbullying perpetration, and to determine whether this relationship is sequentially mediated by social withdrawal and self-esteem. Methods For this purpose, data from the second year of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018(KCYPS 2018) was used, and the subjects of analysis were 2438 first-year middle school students(1,318 male students, 1,120 female students). To verify the double mediation model, SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro were used, and the significance of the indirect effect was verified using the bootstrapping method. Results The study results are as follows. First, the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and social withdrawal showed a significant positive correlation with cyberbullying perpetration, and a significant negative correlation with self-esteem and cyberbullying perpetration. Second, as a result of the regression analysis, the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students had a positive effect on social withdrawal and cyberbullying perpetration, and had a negative effect on self-esteem. Social withdrawal had negative effect on self-esteem and no significant effect on cyberbullying perpetration, and self-esteem had a negative effect on cyberbullying perpetration. Third, the sequential mediating effect of social withdrawal and self-esteem was verified to be significant in the relationship between the negative parenting attitudes of parents perceived by middle school students and their cyberbullying perpetration. Conclusions Based on these results, effective intervention methods for suppressing cyberbullying behaviors of middle school students were discussed, taking into consideration the negative parenting attitudes of parents, social withdrawal, and self-esteem.
