국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 통계적 문제 해결 과정을 수행해야 하는 프로젝트 기반 학습에서 논의 과정에 차이를 보인 두 모둠의 사례를 살펴봄으로써 통계 학습과 관련된 프로젝트 기반 학습에서의 소집단 활동에 시사점을 주는 데 그 목적이 있다. 방법 서울 소재 초등학생 8명을 대상으로 10차시에 걸쳐 프로젝트 기반 학습을 진행하였다. 그리고 프로젝트 평가 루브릭에 따라 결과를 도출하였으며 문제 해결 과정과 인터뷰의 녹화 자료, 활동지, 성찰 일지 등을 종합하여 양적, 질적으로 분석하였다. 결과 모둠에 따라 프로젝트 각 단계와 개별 발화 빈도에 차이가 있었으며, 자유로운 토론 분위기와 민주적인 합의 과정을 한 모둠과 경직된 토론 분위기 속에서 1인의 주도 하에 독단적으로 결정하였던 모둠의 문제 해결에 차이를 보였다. 결론 모둠의 논의 분위기와 합의 과정 여부, 상황에 따른 역할 분담의 유연한 변화 여부, 자유로운 잡담과 프로젝트 진행 과정 공유 여부, 프로젝트에 대한 책임감 정도가 프로젝트 기반 학습에서의 소집단 활동과 결과에 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있었으며 향후 프로젝트 기반 학습과 통계적 문제 해결 과정을 개발·적용할 때 이를 고려할 것을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to give implications to collective activities in project-based learning related to statistical learning by looking at two different case groups in the discussion process in project-based learning where the statistical problem solving process should be conducted. Methods To this end, project-based learning was conducted for eight elementary school students in Seoul, and results were derived according to the project evaluation rubric. Data were collected from records, activities, and reflection logs of problem solving processes and interviews and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Results As a result, each group s remarks differed by statistical problem-solving steps. In addition, the performance results were superior to those arbitrarily determined in a rigid discussion atmosphere, where the democratic consensus process was conducted in a free discussion atmosphere. Conclusions Based on the examples of the two groups, the atmosphere of discussion and agreement, flexible changes in role sharing, free chatting and sharing about the progress of the project, and responsibility for the project were influenced. Based on this, we propose to consider future project-based learning and statistical problem solving processes when developing and applying them.
