국문 초록

본 연구에서는 어머니가 지각한 사회적지지가 초등학교 저학년 아동의 미디어기기 의존에 미치는 영향에서 어머니의 일-가정 양립의 이점과 갈등의 매개효과를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 육아정책연구소(KICCE)의 한국아동패널(PSKC) 10차년도(2017년) 조사 자료를 사용하였으며, 총 708명의 만9세 시점인 아동과 부모의 데이터를 활용하여 구조모형 분석을 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 어머니가 지각한 사회적지지는 어머니의 일-가정 양립 갈등에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 어머니의 일-가정 양립 이점을 매개를 통한 간접 효과를 보였다. 둘째, 어머니가 지각한 사회적지지는 아동의 미디어기기 의존에 영향을 미쳤으며, 어머니의 일-가정 양립 갈등의 매개를 통한 간접 효과를 보였다. 셋째, 어머니의 일-가정 양립 이점은 아동의 미디어기기 의존에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 않았지만, 어머니의 일-가정 양립 이점을 통해 갈등을 줄임으로써 아동의 미디어기기 의존을 완화시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 어머니가 지각한 사회적 지지가 아동의 미디어기기 의존에 미치는 영향력과 어머니의 일-가정 양립 이점을 높여 갈등을 감소시키기 위한 노력이 필요함을 밝힌 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study explored the influence of social support perceived by mothers had on media device dependency of children in the lower grades of elementary school focused on the mediating effect of the gain and strain of mothers’ work family reconciliation. For this, research data from the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education(KICCE)’s 10th(2017) Panel Study on Korean(PSKC) was used. and a structural model analysis was conducted using the data from a total of 708 nine year old children and their parents was analyzed by means of a structural model. The results were as follows. First, although social support perceived by mothers did not have a direct influence on mothers’ work-family conflict, it did have an indirect influence through the mediating effect of gain of mothers’ in work-family balance. Second, social support perceived by mothers had an effect on the media dependency of children. There was also an indirect influence through the mediating effect of mothers’ work-family conflict. Third, although the gain of mothers’ work-family balance did not have a direct effect on children’s media dependency, it was found that the reduction of conflict through the gains of mother’s work-family balance alleviated children’s media dependency. Based on these results, there is significance in that the study has shown that social support perceived b mothers influences children’s media dependency and that it is necessary to work to reduce mothers’ work-family conflict by increasing the gain of mothers’ work-family balance.
