국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 전국 유아교육기관의 만 3~5세 유아의 공감능력 실태를 조사하여 만3~5세 유아의 공감능력을 살펴보는 데 있다. 전국 15개소 사립 유아교육기관 만3~5세 유아 460명을 대상으로 2019년 10월 30일~11월 30일에 걸쳐 설문조사로 진행되었으며 설문지는 이메일과 우편으로 발송하고 회수하였다. 460부를 배부하여 459부를 회수하였으며 회수된 459부의 설문지 중 누락되거나 결측치가 있는 설문지 9부를 제외하고 최종 450부를 연구에 활용하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 활용해 기술통계와 상관분석, t 검정, 일원분산분석(one-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 유아공감능력은 각 하위변인들 간의 정적 상관관계를 가지며 연구문제에 따른 연구결과 첫째, 연령에 따라 공감능력전체 평균이 만4세, 만5세, 만3세 순으로 나타났으며 둘째, 성별에 따른 유아공감능력은 여아가 남아보다 공감능력이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 형제 유무에 따른 유아공감능력 전체에서는 형제아가 외동아보다 높게 나타났으며 공감능력 하위변인 중 정서적공감과 사회적공감에서는 외동아와 형제아의 평균 차이는 있으나 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 전국 사립유아교육기관의 유아를 대상으로 실시된 본 연구를 통해 유아공감능력의 활발한 발달시기와 지속적인 공감교육의 필요성을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the empathic ability of children aged 3 to 5 years old in early childhood education institutions nationwide. The survey was conducted on 460 infants aged 3 to 5 at 15 private early childhood education institutions nationwide over the period of October 30 to November 30, 2019. The questionnaire was sent and retrieved by e-mail and mail. 460 copies were distributed and 459 copies were collected. The final 450 copies were used in the study, except for 9 questionnaires with missing or missing values from 459 copies recovered. In order to achieve the research objectives, the SPSS 22.0 program was used to perform a correlation, t test, and one-way ANOVA with basic statistics. According to the study, child empathy ability has a static correlation between each lower-level variable. First, the study found that the overall average of empathy was in the order of 4 years, 5 years old, and 3 years old. Second, infant empathy ability according to gender tells that girls are more empathetic than boys. Third, in the whole early child empathy ability based on the presence or absence of siblings, children with siblings were higher than only children. Among the lower variables of empathy, emotional empathy and social empathy, there was an average difference between only children and children with siblings, but they were not statistically significant. Through this study, which was conducted on early childhood in private infant education institutions nationwide, we confirmed the period of active development of infant empathy skills and the need for continuous empathy education for children.
