단기 해외 한국언어문화 교육봉사 활동의 실제

국문 초록

이 연구는 한국의 대학생으로 구성된 단기 해외봉사단이 2019년 7월 6일부터 20일까지 2주 동안 라오스국립대학교 한국어과에서 한국언어문화 교육을 수행한 교육의 실제를 질적연구 방법을 활용하여 분석하고 제시하였다. 이 연구는 제일 먼저 한국 대학생의 단기 해외봉사활동의 현황과 선행연구를 살펴보았다. 그리고 봉사활동이 갖는 교육적 의의를 검토하였다. 이어서 해외봉사활동의 실제를 ‘파견 전 준비 사항-파견 중 활동-파견 후 마무리’의 세 부분으로 나누어 제시하였다. ‘파견 전 준비 사항’에서는 라오스에 대한 전반적인 상황 파악, 현지 안내인 확보, 봉사단 구성, 봉사 장소 섭외 및 출국 준비, 한국어 수업 참관, 봉사 일정표 작성, 봉사단 정체성 확보, 교구 확보의 내용을 다루었다. ‘파견 중 활동’에서는 한국어 교육 그리고 k-pop과 k-dance 교실, 한국문화 체험 수업, 한국어 말하기대회 및 수료식, 만족도 조사 등 현지에서 실제로 진행된 봉사활동의 주 내용이 어떻게 구성되고 이루어졌는지를 제시했다. ‘파견 후 마무리’에서는 해외봉사활동을 마치고 귀국한 후에 봉사단원들이 모여 자신들이 느낀 점을 공유한 간담회를 다루었다. 그리고 유사한 봉사활동의 효율적인 운영과 발전을 위한 시사점을 논의했다.

영문 초록

This study dealt with how an overseas volunteer group composed of Korean university students who had practiced teaching Korean language and culture at the Korean Language Department at National University of Laos for about 2 weeks, i.e., from July 7th to 20th, 2019. This study presented the actuality of overseas volunteer activities in three parts: ‘Preparation before dispatch, Activities during dispatch, and Follow-up activity’. ‘Preparation before dispatch’ covered the contents of understanding the overall situation of Laos, securing a local guide, forming a volunteer group, securing service places and preparing for departure, visiting Korean classes, preparing a schedule for the service, securing an identity of the volunteer group, and securing teaching materials. ‘Activities during dispatch’ mentioned the detailed schedule actually conducted in the service place, and the main contents of volunteer activities such as Korean language education and k-pop and k-dance classes, Korean culture experience classes, the Korean speaking contest and the completion ceremony, and satisfaction surveys. ‘Follow-up activity’ handled the volunteer group members’ feelings after their returning from overseas service activities. The implications were discussed so that this study would contribute to an efficient operation and development of similar volunteer activities.
