자녀의 성장에 따른 어머니의 심리적 특성이 행복감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 연령을 중심으로 어머니의 심리적 특성 간의 관계를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 동일한 대상을 종단으로 추적하여 조사한 자료인 한국아동패널의 1차(2008년), 6차(2013년), 10차(2017년) 어머니 대상 응답 자료를 활용하였다. 연구의 대상은 첫 자녀를 출산한 어머니 505명이며, 선행연구를 참고하여 어머니 연령을 중심으로 하여 4개 집단으로 구분하였다. 대상 연령 별 응답자 수는 만 26세 이하 124명, 만 29세 141명, 만 32-33세 128명, 만 35세 이상 112명이다. 심리적 특성의 도구는 우울, 자아존중감, 자기효능감, 양육스트레스, 행복감을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 만 0세, 만 5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 시점 모두 19-26세 연령의 어머니의 우울이 35-46세 연령의 어머니 우울보다 높게 나타났다. 자녀 성장에 따른 어머니의 심리적 요인 간 관계를 분석한 결과 출산 전 우울, 출산 후의 우울, 1차년도의 양육스트레스 및 6차년도의 자아존중감, 양육스트레스가 10차년도 어머니의 행복감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연령 집단 별로 행복감에 영향을 미치는 요인이 다르게 나타났다. 연구결과에 근거하여 다양한 연령층의 어머니들의 심리적 특성을 파악하고 자녀 양육과 개인적인 자기돌봄과 관련하여 보다 필요한 맞춤형 지원을 하는데 있어 필요한 기초자료를 제공할 것임을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the psychological characteristics of the mother s age. This study used the response data for mothers in the first(2008), sixth(2013), and tenth(2017) years of the Korean Children s Panel, which was investigated by tracking the same object in a longitudinal period. The subjects of the study were 505 mothers who gave birth to their first child, and four groups were divided into four groups, focusing on the age of their mothers, based on prior studies. The number of respondents by age group is 124 mothers under the age of 26, 141 mothers over the age of 29, 128 mothers the age of 32-33, and 112 mothers over the age of 35. The tools of psychological characteristics utilized depression, self-respect, self-efficacy, parenting stress, and happiness. The study find that mothers aged 19-26 are more depressed than mothers aged 35-46 when their children were both 0 and 5 years old. An analysis of the relationship between the psychological factors of a mother due to her child s growth showed that pre-birth depression, post-birth depression, first-year child care stress and sixth-year self-respect, and parenting stress affect the mother s happiness in the 10th year. In addition, different age groups show different factors affecting happiness. Based on the results of the study, it suggest that the psychological characteristics of mothers of various ages would be identified and that the basic data need to provide more customized support in relation to child rearing and personal self-care were provided.
