국문 초록

4차 산업혁명이 우리 시대의 많은 것을 변화시키고 있다. 특히 과학 정보 기술의 발전에 따른 포스트 휴먼의 등장은 우리에게 인간의 존엄, 생명의 윤리에 대한 진지한 성찰을 요구하고 있다. 과학기술주의의 전제적 요소에 대해 문제의식을 갖고 이제 과학기술을 ‘어떻게’ 적용할 것인가 하는 것이 중요한 문제로 등장한 것이다. 이에 본 논문은 4차 산업혁명 시대를 몸으로 체현하고 살아갈 학생들이 이 새로운 기술에 함몰되지 않고 인간다움을 유지하며 살 수 있을지, 또 새로운 과학기술의 도입으로 인해 발생 가능한 윤리적 이슈들에 대해 제대로 성찰하고 사유할 수 있는 비판적 사고능력은 충분한지, 이러한 사유능력을 함양하기 위한 기본 개념으로서 생명윤리에 관한 교육은 제대로 이루어지고 있는지에 대한 교양교육의 성찰을 시도하고자 하였다. 아울러 조선대학교 교양 교육의 대표적 과목인 <사고와표현 1>의 운영 사례를 통해 이러한 교양교육의 목표를 어떻게 끌어낼 수 있을지 가능성을 모색해 보았다.

영문 초록

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming many things in our time. Especially, the emergence of posthumans following the development of science and information technology requires us to reflect on human dignity and the ethics of life. It is critical to have a sense of the issues regarding the prerequisite elements of science and technology as well as to apply science and technology. Therefore, this article seeks to examine whether students who will experience the Fourth Industrial Revolution can live without being caught up in this new technology. Further, it investigates whether they possess sufficient critical thinking skills to properly reflect on ethical issues that may arise from the introduction of new science and technology. Finally, it considers whether bioethics education is being properly implemented as a basic concept for cultivating these private skills. As an example of its implementation, I presented an operational case of , a representative subject of liberal arts education at Chosun University.
