영남(嶺南)지역 문인결사와 지역문학 형성의 매개적 메커니즘

국문 초록

중국 고대 문인결사는 명대에 들어 가장 활발했다. 지역적으로 보면 명대 문인결사의 활동과 규모는 강남지역에 집중하고 있지만 영남(嶺南)지역도 상당히 활발한 곳이었다. 명대 문인결사는 명대 문단과 문학유파 형성의 문학적 토양이 되었고, 지역의 문인결사는 지역 문학유파의 형성을 추동해왔다. 즉, 문인결사는 하나의 문학집단의 조직으로서 문학작품 생산, 문인집단 활동 및 문학유파 형성을 추동하는 기본적인 메커니즘으로 작용한다는 점이다. 따라서 문인결사 연구는 지역학과 문학, 문인결사와 문학유파의 상관성 등을 유기적인 시각에서 바라보아야 할 연구 대상이다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역학과 문학을 접목한 시각에서 출발하여, 문인집단이자 문학 생산의 플랫폼으로 작용하는 문인결사가 문학유파 형성에 어떤 역할을 하는지를 파악함으로써 문인결사가 보여준 문학의 메커니즘을 파악하고자 한다. 개별적인 지역 시사가 단절과 지속을 반복하면서 긴 시간 동안 지속된 경우는 드물다. 그 대표적인 지역 시사 중의 하나가 영남지역의 남원시사이다. 남원시사는 원말명초부터 명말에 이르기까지 남원시사, 남원후오자시사(南園後五子詩社), 진자장남원시사(陳子壯南園詩社) 등으로 전승되었고, 명대 문학유파와의 연동 속에서 영남지역의 시사로 발전해왔다. 이러한 전승과 지속성을 유지할 수 있었던 것은 남원시사라는 문인결사가 지역 문인집단의 활동과 문학유파 등을 생산하는 메커니즘으로서 작용했기 때문일 것이다. 본고는 기존의 연구성과 위에서 영남지역의 남원시사를 연구 대상으로 하여 크게 세 부분으로 나누어 살펴본다. 첫째, 명대 영남지역의 문인결사의 상황과 특징을 살펴보고, 둘째, 남원시사의 형성과 특징을 고찰하고, 셋째, 남원시사의 전승을 통해 명대 문단 및 영남지역 문학 형성의 상관성에 대해 살펴본다.

영문 초록

The formation of literary societies in Ancient China was most active during the Ming Dynasty. Regionally, most literary societies in the Ming Dynasty were located in Jiang Nan, while those in Ling Nan were also very active during the same time. There had been a literary foundation prepared during the Ming Dynasty for the formation of literary circles and literature schools, and regional formation of literary society had pushed the formation of regional literature schools. A literary society is an organization of a group of writers, which works with a basic mechanism to promote writing production, group activities of the writers, and the formation of different schools. Therefore, the study of literary society shall proceed from the point of view of organic connection of regional science with literature, and literary society with literary schools. This study first connects literature with regional science to understand how a literary society, which works as a writers’ group and a platform of literary production, does work in the formation of literary schools, and so further gets to understand they literary mechanism that the literary society has shown. The case that an individual regional poets’ club had paused and continued activity for a long period was unusual. Nan Yuan Shi She is one example of an individual regional poets’ club. Nan Yuan Shi She had come down (made up) to Nan Yuan Post Wu Zi Shi She (南園後五子詩社), Chen-zi- zhuang Nan Yuan S hi She, and s o on from the end o f the Yuan D ynasty and beginning of the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Ming Dynasty, and advanced as a poets’ club in Ling Nan in connection with literary schools over the Ming Dynasty. Such succession and continuance was available ecause the literary society, that is Nan Yuan Shi She, had acted as the mechanism to make the activities of literary society and literary schools available. Based on previous results, this study was divided into three parts with the Nan Yuan Shi She in Ling Nan a s the subject of the s tudy. First, the circumstances and nature of the literary society in Guang Dong was examined. Second, the formation and succession of Nan Yuan Shi She and the nature of the members were looked into. Third, the relativeness between the literary circles and the formation of literature in Gong Dong in the Ming Dynasty were discussed.
