국문 초록

본 연구는 근거이론 관점에서 부산지역 실용음악학 전공자의 지방대학 이탈 과정을 연구대상자의 심층 면접을 통한 연구결과를 토대로 교육적·정책적 시사점을 제시하기 위한 목적에서 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 부산지역 실용음악학과에 재학 중인 대학생 12명을 연구 참여자로 최종적으로 선정한 후, 심층 면담을 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이는 Glaser와 Strauss(1967)가 제시한 근거이론 방식을 적용하여 개방코딩-축코딩-선택코딩의 순으로 분석절차를 진행하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과, 부산지역 실용음악 전공자의 지방대학 이탈과정을 경험하게 만드는 근본적인 원인은 개인배경 요인, 학교 관련 요인, 지역 사회적 요인, 문화적 특성 요인 등임을 발견할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과의 중심현상은 ‘목표달성을 통한 삶의 변화 갈망’이었다. 이를 근간으로 인과적 조건, 맥락적 조건, 중재적 조건 순으로 패러다임 모형을 제시하였다. 이상의 결과를 토대로, 지방대학 실용음악학과 대학생의 이탈 행위 원인인 개인배경 요인, 학교 관련 요인, 지역 사회적 요인, 문화적 특성 요인 측면에서 교육적·정책적 함의를 제고시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study derived the research results of in-depth interviews of university students currently enrolled in the Department of Practical Music in Busan to analyze the process of leaving local colleges by students majoring in practical music in Busan from the viewpoint of grounded theory. Based on the research results, the study presents educational and policy implications to fundamentally reduce the churn behavior of college students in the department of practical music in local universities. To this end, 12 university students e nrolled in t he D epartment of P ractical M usic i n B usan w ere selected as research participants, and data were collected through in-depth interviews. This analysis was performed in the order of open coding-axis coding-selective coding by applying the grounded theory method suggested by Glaser and Strauss (1967). As a result of the analysis of this study, it was found that the fundamental reasons for students who majored in practical music in Busan to leave local universities include personal background factors, school-related factors, local social factors, and cultural characteristics factors. Thus, a paradigm model was presented in the order of causal conditions, contextual conditions, and intervening conditions. Based on the above results, a plan to enhance educational and policy implications in terms of personal background factors, school-related factors, local social factors, and cultural characteristics factors, which are the causes of departure behavior in college students in the Department of Practical Music at local universities, was suggested.
