맞벌이가정 아버지의 일-가족 갈등과 일-가족 향상, 양육스트레스와 자녀와의 상호작용 및 아동의 문제행동의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 육아정책연구소(KICCE)에서 수집한 한국아동패널 8차년도 자료 중 아동기 자녀를 둔 맞벌이가정 아버지 589명을 대상으로 2017년 12월～2018년 9월까지 연구되었다. 특히 맞벌이 가정 아버지의 일-가족 갈등과 일-가족 향상, 양육스트레 스와 자녀와의 상호작용 및 아동의 문제행동의 구조적 관계를 살펴보기 위해 구조방 정식 모형을 적용하였다. 최종모형 검증결과, 맞벌이가정 아버지의 일-가족 갈등 수준이 높을수록 양육스트레스가 높아져서 아동의 문제행동이 증가하였다. 또한 일-가족 향상 수준이 높을수록 자녀와의 상호작용이 증가하고 양육스트레스가 감소하여 아동의 문제행동이 감소하였다. 다음으로 최종모형이 모든 연령집단에 동일하게 적용되는지 살펴보기 위해 다집단 동등성 검증을 실시한 결과 모형 간 동일성이 확보 되었다. 이는 맞벌이가정 아버지의 연령집단에 상관없이 일-가족 갈등과 문제행동의 관계에서 양육스트레스가 위험요인으로 작용하여 아동의 문제행동을 악화시킨다는 것을 나타낸다. 또한 일-가족 향상과 문제행동의 관계에서는 아버지의 양육스트레스가 위험요인으로 작용하는 반면 자녀와의 상호작용이 보호요인으로 작용하여 아동의 문제행동의 악화를 상쇄시킬 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 본 연구는 맞벌이가정 아버지가 경험하는 일-가족 갈등과 일-가족 향상이 양육 경험을 통하여 어떻게 아동의 문제행동을 가져오는지 가족역동적 측면에서 보다 통합적으로 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship between work-family conflict, work-family enrichment, parenting stress, interaction with children, and child problem behavior in father of dual-income family. The result of the final model test indicate that the higher the father s work-family conflict, the higher the parenting stress and the more the child problem behavior. In addition, the higher the father s work-family enrichment, the more interactions with the children and the lower the parenting stress and the lower the child s problem behavior. Next, the final model was verified by multi-group equivalence according to the age group, and the equality between the models was secured. This indicates that parenting stress is a risk factor in the relationship between work–family conflict and child problem behavior regardless of the father s age group of dual-income families, which exacerbates the child problem behavior. In addition, parenting stress acts as a risk factor in the relationship between work-family enrichment and child problem behavior, while interaction with children acts as a protective factor to offset the deterioration of child problem behavior. The significance of this study is to examine how the work-family conflict and work-family enrichment experienced by father of double-income family bring about child problem behavior through parenting experience from the perspective of family dynamic.
