국문 초록

본 연구는 도시의 고소득계층 청소년과 농촌의 저소득계층 청소년의 진로 경험 차이를 밝히기 위한 목적으로, 비교 사례 연구의 방법으로 수행되었다. 연구대상 모집 및 선정 절차에 따라 두 명의 연구 참여자와 심층면담으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 자료의 분석은 내러티브 탐구 방법의 주제 분석 절차에 따랐다. 연구 결과 첫째, 가정의 경제사회화 과정에서 드러나는 이동성의 차이, 공간인식 범위의 차이, 둘째, 학교의 진로 자원에의 접근성, 학생-진로 체험 프로그램 간 상호작용의 차이와 학교 진로 교육 문화 형성의 차이, 셋째, 거주지에 따른 사교육자원에의 접근성과 교육자원 활용 방식의 차이 등을 드러내었다. 본 연구는 공간과 계층의 요인이 복합적으로 작용하여 진로 행위 과정에서 드러나는 불평등의 현상을 ‘공간적 역량’의 개념으로 설명하였다. 이를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 진로 교육 및정책의 시행에 있어서 공간의 관점, 기회와 참여의 관점에서 논의가 필요하다. 둘째, 학교의 진로 교육 문화 형성이 중요하며 이는 진로 체험 프로그램의 양적 측면뿐만 아니라 질적 측면에 주목해야 함을 시사한다. 셋째, 공간적 역량은 현대 사회의 새로운 자본이 될 수 있으며, 도시와 농촌의 학교에는 서로 다른 방식의 진로 교육 설계가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to determine the difference of Career experiences between Urban high-income class and Rural low-income class adolescent, with method of comparative case study. The study data were collected by in-depth interviews with two participants, selected by the criteria and procedure. Then data were analyzed using theme-anaysis procedure of Narrative inquiry. The result reveals that differences. First, mobility through economic socialization and space recognition. Second, school’s accessibility to career resources, student to career program interaction, construction of career education culture. Third, accessibility to private education by residence, education resource use pattern. I explain the inequality phenomenon in the process of career action with the concept of ‘Spatial Capability’. Finally, I suggest that it needs to discuss the career education from the space-perspective, opportunity and participation. And it is important to construct the culture of career education in school. it means we consider career programs from the sides quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Because Spatial capability can be a new capital in a new society, we need different design about career education in urban and rural schools.
