대학생의 우울수준에 따라 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 학업적, 정의적 특성의 차이 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 우울수준에 따른 학업성취도, 학업적․정의적 특성의 차이를 확인하고, 우울수준 높은 집단과 낮은 집단에서 학업성취도에 유의한 영향력을 가지는 학업적․정의적 특성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 대학생 364명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 우울수준이 높은 집단의 학업성취도가 우울수 준이 낮은 집단 보다 유의하게 낮았다. 둘째, 우울수준이 높은 집단의 주요 학업적 특성(시간관리, 읽기전략, 기억전략, 시험전략, 집중전략)과 모든 정의적 특성이 우울 수준이 낮은 집단에 비해 부정적이었다. 셋째, 우울수준이 높은 집단의 학업성취도를 유의하게 설명하는 변수는 정의적 특성들이었으며, 우울수준이 낮은 집단의 학업 성취도를 유의하게 예측하는 변수는 학습시간, 시험전략이었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 우울수준이 높은 대학생들의 학업성취도를 높이기 위해 제공되어야 할 적합한 지원방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The goal of this study was to compare the academic achievement and academic and affective attributes of college students depending on the level of depression. The study also explored whether or not academic and affective attributes which significantly influence academic achievement are different depending on the level of depression. 364 college students survey results were collected. Correlation, multivariate analysis of variance, and multiple regression analyse were conducted. The finding of this study showed that academic achievement of students with high level of depression was significantly lower than that of students with low level of depression. Compared to students with low level of depression, students with high level of depression were poor at using strategies of time management, reading, memory, test preparation, attention, and had low self-efficacy, high anxiety, and high avoidance motivation. However, there were no differences in note-taking and study time depending on the level of depression. Self-efficacy, anxiety, and avoidance motivation significantly predicted academic achievement of students with high level of depression whereas study time and strategies for test preparation significantly predicted academic achievement of students with low level of depression. Implications of this study were discussed.
