국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 초임 교사의 국어과 수업 컨설팅 과정에서 컨설턴트와 컨설 티가 따르는 절차와 원리, 내용 요소, 컨설티의 수업 전문성 변화를 확인하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 기존의 수업 컨설팅 모형에 성찰이라는 요소를 추가한 모형을 개발하였다. 이 모형의 실행에서, 컨설턴트는 컨설티의 성찰을 지원하기 위하여 탐색 질문하기 등 중재 역량을 발휘하였다. 그 결과 컨설티는 ‘학습 목표 도달이 어렵다’는 문제의 배경에 놓인 자신의 플랫폼의 변화를 경험하면서 장기적인 학생의 변화를 바라보게 되었고, 학생의 문제(집중도, 태도)보다 먼저 자신을 되돌아볼 필요가 있다는 점을 깨달았다. 약 2개월에 걸친 컨설팅 기간에 수집한 문서 및 녹음 전사 자료를 주제별 약호화 단계들을 따라 분석하였으며 결과의 타당화 과정을 거쳤다. 시사점으로 수업 컨설팅에서 플랫폼의 확인이 중요하고, 컨설턴트가 컨설티의 사고 과정에 대한 성찰을 지원하기 위해 조언과 피드백 제공보다 중재 역량 발휘가 필요 하고, 멘토링과 수업 공개에 성찰적 수업 컨설팅의 모형을 원용할 필요가 있고, 성찰적 수업 컨설턴트 양성 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다는 점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated procedures and principles, content elements, and professional development in a consulting for an elementary novice teacher about teaching of Korean Language in 2014. The authors developed a new model which added the concept of reflection and the principle of mediation to an existing instructional consulting model. During the instructional consulting, the consultant followed closely the procedures of (1) ascertaining platforms of the consultee, (2) discussing changing the directions of the lessons, (3) reflecting before and after lessons as shown in the model. The consultant used such mediational competencies as posing probing and clarifying questions and paraphrasing in order to assist the consultee in reflective thinking about his lessons. The consulting focused on the lesson plan and teacher’s knowledge as content elements. As a result, the consultee experienced a change in his thinking and platform underlying his problem of ‘difficulty in achieving objectives.’ He became to anticipate long-term changes rather than short-term changes in students and realized that it was more important to reflect upon himself than to find and solve the problems of students (attention, attitudes). Due to the consulting, he has put more emphasis on considering what the students need to achieve than how the students can enjoy learning in lesson planning from 2014 to 2018. The study suggested implications that it was important to ascertain consultee’s platforms in instructional consulting, to use mediational competencies in order to assist the consultee in reflecting upon his cognitive processes rather than providing advice and feedback, to apply the model to mentoring and lesson observations, and for the offices of education to develop and implement programs for consultants to develop mediational competencies in collaboration with the institutions of teacher education.
