초등학교 교사가 인식한 학부모 협력 관계 형성의 제약 요인 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 그들이 학부모와 협력 관계를 형성하는 데에 제약이 된다고 느끼는 요인을 분석하여 그에 대한 개념적 구조를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구자는 전라남도 중소 도시에 근무하는 초등학교 교사 20명을 대상으로 2016년 8월부터 12월까지 2차례에 걸쳐 면담을 실시하였다. 그 결과 수집된 자료를 토대로 다차원 척도법과 군집분석을 통해 개념도를 작성하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 첫째, 초등학교 교사는 학부모 협력 관계 형성 제약요인을 학부모-교사와 개인-환경이라는 2개의 차원으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학부모 협력 관계 형성의 제약요인은 5개의 군집으로 분류되었으며, 군집별 중요도는 가정의 소통 환경 열악, 학부모의 소통에 대한 인식과 이해 부족, 학교와 사회의 소통 여건 미비, 교사-학부모 간 소통에 대한 입장 차이, 교사의 소통 능력 및 의지 부족의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가장 높은 중요도를 보인 진술문은 ‘학부모의 생활고 및 맞벌이로 인해 시간적, 정신적 여유가 부족하다.’로 나타났다. 이 연구의 제언은 첫째, 이 연구가 중소 도시의 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 이루어졌다는 점에서 타 시·도에서도 후속연 구가 필요하다고 하겠다. 둘째, 이 연구의 결과를 토대로 교사 및 학부모 대상 정책 연구나 연수 개발의 참고 자료로 삼을 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is to analyze the factors that affect elementary school teachers feelings about forming partnerships with their parents and to clarify the conceptual structure. For this purpose, the researchers conducted two separate interviews with 20 elementary school teachers working in small and medium cities in Jeollanamdo. In the first round, a total of 197 ideas were collected in response to the focus questions. The collected ideas were summarized in 50 statements with the advice of the experts, and they were classified and evaluated again in the second interview. Through the multidimensional scaling method and cluster analysis, the classified results could derive a conceptual diagram consisting of two dimensions and five clusters. The results of the study are as follows. First, elementary school teachers perceived the constraint factors of parental cooperative relationship as two dimensions of parent - teacher and individual -environment . Second, the constraints factors of building parental cooperative relationship are classified into five groups: the importance of each group is lack of home communication environment , lack of awareness and understanding of parents communication , the lack of communication environment of the school and the community , ‘differences in positions of communication between teachers and parents’, and lack of teacher s communication ability and will . Third, the statement that showed the highest importance was lack of time due to parent s life and dual income . The suggestion for this study is as follows: First, since this study is conducted in small and medium cities in Jeollanam, further studies should be conducted in other provinces. Second, based on the results of this study, it can be used as a reference for the development of training for teachers and parents.
