거주지에 따른 지역주민의 치매인식도 비교: 2017년 경기도 지역 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 K지역 주민을 대상으로 거주지에 따른 치매인식도를 비교 분석하기 위해 실시한 서술연구이다. 연구방법은 경기도 지역주민들을 대상으로 구조화된 설문 지를 이용하여 2017년 5월부터 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS통계프로그램을 활용하여 설문지 1,207건을 분석하였으며, 거주지에 따른 대상 자의 치매인식은 평균, 표준편차, t-test로 분석하였고, 거주지에 따른 대상자의 치매 인식에 미치는 영향은 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 거주지에 따라 치매인식은 치매 치료방법 유무와 치매환자 접촉 유무, 치매진단 시 삶의 포기여부 에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 거주지에 따른 치매인식도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 연령, 교육수준, 서비스기반 인식, 편견기반 인식, 감정적 태도기반 인식이 었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 도시와 농촌지역의 특성을 고려하여 맞춤형 교육프로 그램 개발과 운영, 치매에 대해 쉽게 접할 수 있는 컨텐츠 개발과 홍보 전략을 마련 하는 것이 필요하다고 하겠다. 이는 경기도 지역민을 위한 차별화된 치매관련 정책 수립하는데 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료된다. 한편 지역민을 대상으로 주기적인 치매인식도 조사와 심층면담조사를 실시하여 시계열 분석을 제언하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a descriptive comparative research to analyze dementia awareness of residents in the K region by residential area. To this end, a survey using structured questionnaire was performed on local residents of Gyeonggi-do Province from May to June, 2017. Twelve hundred and seven questionnaires collected were analyzed using SPSS statistics program. Dementia awareness of the subjects surveyed by residential area was analyzed using mean, standard deviation and T-test, and for effects on their dementia awareness, logistic regression analysis was performed. The results showed that dementia awareness by residential area had statistically significant differences in terms of the application of dementia treatment method, experiences of contacting with dementia patients, and whether to give up on life after a dementia diagnosis. Influential factors on dementia awareness by residential area included service-based awareness, prejudice-based awareness, and emotional attitude-based awareness. This study suggests there is a need to establish differentiated dementia-related polices that take into account the characteristics of rural areas and urban areas and to develop and operate customized education programs based on accurate knowledge as well as to devise public relations strategies through development of easily accessible contents for dementia. This study also proposes to conduct periodic surveys on dementia awareness of and in-depth interviews with local residents and perform time series analysis.
