포스트 코로나 시대 보건계열 대학생의 전공 선택 동기와 전문직 정체성과의 관계: 일의 의미 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 포스트 코로나 시대 보건계열 대학생의 전공 선택 동기와 전문직 정체성과의 관계에서 일의 의미의 매개효과 를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 방법 자료수집은 웹기반으로 구조화된 설문지를 제공하여 2023년 4월 10일부터 4월 30일까지 참여한 보건계열 대학생 155명의 자료를 활용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0를 이용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석을 실시하였고, SPSS Process Macro 4를 통해 전공 선택 동기가 전문직 정체성에 미치는 영향에서 일의 의미의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 결과 분석결과, 보건계열 대학생의 전문직 정체성 수준은 평균 3.24점이었다. 또한 전공 선택 동기의 내재적 요인(r=.37, p<.001) 과 외재적 요인(r=.27, p=.001) 및 일의 의미(r=.60, p<.001)는 전문직 정체성에 대하여 각각 양의 상관관계를 보였고, 일의 의미는 전공 선택 동기의 내⋅외재적 요인들과 전문직 정체성과의 관계에서 완전 매개효과가 있었다Boot LLCI=.04, Boot ULCI=.11, Boot LLCI=.05, Boot ULCI=.12). 결론 보건계열 대학교육에서는 전문직 정체성을 촉진할 수 있는 일의 의미를 향상할 수 있는 적절한 교육과정을 제공할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was conducted to estimate the mediating effect of the meaning of work in the relationship between the major selection motivation and professional identity of undergraduate healthcare students in the post-COVID-19 era. Methods Data was collected using web-based questionnaires from April 10 to April 30, 2023. The data of 155 undergraduate helthcare students was analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. Results The study found that the average score of professional identity among participants was 3.24 points. Moreover, intrinsic factor (r=.37, p<.001) and external factor of major selection motivation (r=.27, p=.001) and the meaning of work (r=.60, p<.001) showed a positive correlation with professional identity, respectively. Furthermore, meaning of work showed a complete mediating effect respectively (Boot LLCI=.04, Boot ULCI=.11, Boot LLCI=.05, Boot ULCI=.12) on the relationship between internal and external factors of the major selection motivation and professional identity. Conclusions Providing timely helthcare curriculum is necessary for enhancing meaning of work, which could promote professional identity among undergraduate helthcare students.
