화상상담 내담자의 상담 성과 탐색을 위한 합의적 질적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 새로운 상담운영 방식으로 대두된 비대면 화상상담의 질적 제고가 필요한 시점에서 이를 적극적으로 운영한 대학상담센터의 내담자들을 대상으로 화상상담의 성과와 관련 요인 및 기대 요인을 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위해 대학상담센터에서 화상상담을 경험한 내담자 중 총 10명을 대상으로 2022년 9월부터 10월까지 개별 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구팀은 인터뷰 문항을 토대로 수집된 모든 자료를 축어록으로 정리하였으며, 질적 연구 방법 중 합의적 질적 분석(CQR) 방법을 활용하여 자료분석하는 평정 과정을 진행하였다. 결과 분석 결과 총 6개의 영역, 14개의 범주, 36개의 하위 범주가 도출되었다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 화상상담을 경험한 내담자들의 경험은 환경적 요인 및 과정적 요인으로 나타났으며 상담환경의 편안함과 불편감, 상담과정의 만족감과 불만족감으로 구분되었다. 둘째, 화상상담의 상담성과는 인지적, 행동적, 정서적 변화로 확인되었으며, 상담성과 관련 요인은 상담자 요인과 내담자 요인으로 구별되었다. 셋째, 향후 화상상담에 대한 선택요인으로는 접근 수월성, 감염 위험정도, 개인성향으로 나타났다. 추가적으로, 화상상담의 발전을 위하여 상담 진행, 운영 환경, 홍보 방안을 제시하였다. 결론 본 연구는 비대면 화상상담을 실제 경험한 대학상담센터 내담자를 통해 상담의 성과와 관련 요인을 심층적으로 탐색하였다. 화상상담 운영 시 실제 내담자들이 얻은 상담 성과와 관련 요인들을 밝힘으로써, 화상상담의 주요 특성과 상담 현장에서의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore counseling outcomes and related factors of clients, focusing on university counseling centers that actively operated video counseling, which emerged as a new counseling operation method. Methods To this purpose, individual interviews were conducted from September to October 2022 with a total of 10 college students who experienced video counseling, The research team organized all the data collected based on the interview questions into verbatim, and conducted the analysis and conducted a rating process of analysis using the Consensus Qualitative Analysis (CQR) method. Results As a result of the analysis, 6 areas, 14 categories and 36 subcategories were derived. First, the experiences of the video counseling clients were expressed as environmental and process factors and were divided into comfort and discomfort in the counseling environment, and satisfaction and dissatisfaction in the counseling process. Second, the counseling outcomes of video counseling were identified as cognitive, behavioral, and emotional changes, and the factors related to counseling outcomes were identified as counselor factors and client factors. Third, factors for selecting future video counseling were ease of access, risk of COVID infection, and personal characteristics. In addition, suggestion for the development of video counseling were presented. Conclusions This study in-depth were explored counseling outcomes and related factors of the university counseling center clients who actually experienced video counseling. Based on this, effective counseling strategies using video counseling and implications for counselor education were discussed.
