2019 개정 누리과정에 대한 어머니의 인식에 관한 질적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 누리과정과 2019 개정 누리과정을 모두 경험한 만5세 유아를 자녀로 둔 어머니를 대상으로 2019 개정 누리과정에 대한 인식에 대해 심층적으로 고찰하고자 수행하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 수도권에 위치한 유치원에 다니는 자녀를 둔 어머니 6명을 대상으로 세 그룹으로 나누어 반구조화된 면담 질문을 바탕으로 자녀가 만3세에 경험한 누리과정과 비교하여 만4, 5세에 경험한 2019 개정 누리과정에 대한 인식과 우려를 알아보기 위해 심층면담을 실시하였다. 결과 연구결과, 첫째, 연구참여자들은 누리과정이 개정된 것을 인지하지 못하고 있었다. 부모의 참여가 중요한 만큼 2019 개정 누리과정에 대한 부모교육에 대한 논의가 필요할 것이다. 둘째, 유아 중심⋅놀이 중심에 대해서는 긍정적이었지만, 모든 교사가 계획 없이도 모든 유아에게 의미 있는 놀이 개입과 확장이 가능할지에 대해서는 회의적이었다. 교사의 역량 강화를 위한 적극적인 논의가 필요하리라 사료된다. 셋째, 놀이 중심의 2019 개정 누리과정으로 인해 초등학교 입학 준비 불충분에 대한 더 큰 우려로 사교육과 사립초등학교 선호도 증가를 우려하고 있었다. 부모들의 초등학교 적응에 대한 불안감 해소를 위한 구체적인 논의가 필요할 것이다. 결론 이에 본 연구는 2019 개정 누리과정이 2년 시행된 시점에서 2019 개정 누리과정 시행에 따르는 다양한 문제 파악과 보완을 위한 사회 지원체계 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was conducted to examine in-depth the perception of the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum for mothers with 5-years-old child who have experienced both the Nuri Curriculum and the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum. Methods To this end, based on semi-structured interview questions, 6 mothers with children attending kindergartens in the metropolitan area were divided into three groups to fing out their perception and concerns about the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum at the age of 4 and 5 compared to the Nuri Curriculum experienced at the age of 3. Results As a result of the study, first, the study participants were not aware of the revision of the Nuri Curriculum. As parental participation is important, discussions on parental education on the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum will be needed. Second, it was positive about child-centered and play-centered, but ti was skeptical that all teachers could intervene and expand meaningful play for all children without a plan. It is believed that active discussion is needed to strengthen the teacher’s competency. Third, they were concerned about the increase in preference for private education and private elementary school due to greater concerns about insufficient preparation for elementary school entrance due to the play-centered 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum. Specific discussions will be needed to resolve parents’ anxiety about adapting to elementary school. Conclusions Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it provides basic data for establishing a social support system to identify and supplement various problems following the implementation of the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum when the revised Nuri Curriculum was implemented for two years.
