국문 초록

이 연구에서는 한국어에 대응하는 미얀마어 의문문의 종류와 의문형 종결어미를 살펴보았다. 의문문은 필요한정보를 얻거나 확인, 요청, 불만의 표현 등 다양한 기능을 수행하기 때문에 학습 초기부터 생산 빈도가 높으며 연구의 필요성이 높다. 한국어와 미얀마어의 의문문은 공통적으로 문장의 종결어미에 의해 실현된다. 한국어의 의문형 종결어미는 높임의 위계에 따른 구분, 격식과 비격식의 구분, 억양에 따른 의미 분화의 특징을 지닌다. 한편 미얀마어의 의문형 종결어미는 문어체와 구어체의 구분이 엄격하며 의문문의 종류마다 각기 다른 종결어미가 사용된다. 그리고 부호를통해 의문문이라는 것이 드러나는 까닭에 억양이 의미 전달에 크게 영향을 미치지 않는다. 이러한 차이점과 대응양상을 이해하는 것은 한국어 학습자들이 모어와 다른 한국어 의문문의 특징을 이해하고 학습하는 데 도움이 될것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This paper examined the types of Myanmar interrogatives and the final endings correspondingto Korean. Interrogatives perform various functions such as obtaining or checking necessary information,requesting, and expressing dissatisfaction. So the frequency of use is high from the beginning oflearning, and the need for research is high. Interrogative sentences in Korean and Myanmar are formed by the final endings. The interrogativefinal endings in Korean are characterized by classification according to the hierarchy of height,formal and informal, and differentiation of meaning according to accent. Meanwhile, Myanmar’sinterrogative final endings have a strict distinction between spoken and written forms, anddifferent final endings are used for each type of question. And since the sign reveals that it is aquestion, the accent does not significantly affect the transmission of meaning. Understandingthese differences and response patterns is expected to help Korean learners understand andlearn the characteristics of more and other Korean questions.
