초등학교 디자인씽킹 기반 주제 중심 수업이 학습자의 핵심역량 신장에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초등학생들의 핵심역량을 신장하기 위한 디자인씽킹 기반 주제중심 수업을 설계하고 이를 적용하여 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 경남 소재 초등학생 6학년 14명을 실험집단으로 선정하여 주제중심 수업을 개발하고, 12차시 수업을 적용하였다. 이 수업의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 KEDI학생역량 측정도구를 활용하여 실험집단을 대상으로 수업 적용 전과 후에 학생 역량 검사를 실시하였다. 또한 비교집단으로 같은 학교 1개 학급 14명의 학생들을 대상으로 사전⋅사후 검사를 실시하고 실험집단의 검사 점수와 비교하였다. 결과 실험집단에 디자인씽킹 기반 주제중심 수업을 적용한 결과, 학생들의 핵심역량 신장에 대한 유의한 효과가 있었다. 즉, 실험집단과 비교집단의 사후 검사를 비교한 결과 자기관리역량과 공동체 역량에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 실험집단 학생들은 수업 적용 전 후에 자기관리역량, 지식정보처리 역량, 창의적 사고 역량, 의사소통 역량, 그리고 공동체 역량에서 유의미한 효과가 나타났다. 결론 따라서 디자인씽킹 기반 주제 중심이 초등학교 교과 수업 시간에 활용가능하며 학생들의 핵심역량을 신장시킬 수 있는 창의적인 교수법이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, a design thinking based subject-oriented classes was designed to enhance the core competencies of elementary school students, and the effectiveness of the class was verified by applying the class. Methods To that end, 14 students from grade 6 at an elementary school located in Gyeongnam were selected as an experimental group, and 12 hours of the class was applied to them. To verify the effectiveness of this class, a student competency test was conducted before and after the class application using the KEDI Student Competency Measurement Tool. In addition, as a comparison group, pre-and post-tests were conducted with 14 students from one class at the same school and compared the test scores with those of the experimental group. Results As a result of application of the design thinking based classes to the experimental group, there were significant effects to enhance the core competencies of students. When applied with the deign thinking based unit, the experimental group showed significant effects on self-management capability, knowledge information -processing competency, creative thinking capability, communication capability, and community capability. In addition, it was found that there were significant differences in self-management capability and community capability in the posttest of the experimental group and the comparative group. Conclusions Therefore, design thinking based classes can be said to be a creative teaching method that can be utilized in elementary school class and can enhance students core competencies.
