고등학교 3학년의 학업소진과 학업동기 잠재프로파일 분류 및 영향요인 검증

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 고등학교 3학년의 학업소진과 학업동기를 중심으로 잠재프로파일을 분류하고, 과업 및 개인, 정서, 그리고 환경관련 변수들이 이러한 분류에 유의한 영향을 주는지를 검증하였다. 방법 서울, 인천, 경기 소재 8개 학교에서 모집한 고등학교 3학년 881명을 대상으로 잠재프로파일분석(Latent Profile Analysis: LPA)을 시행하고, 학업소진과 학업동기 유형에 따른 잠재계층을 분류하였다. 이어서 도출된 하위집단간의 차이를 설명하는 요인을 탐색하기 위해 다항로지스틱 회귀분석을 시행하였다. 결과 분석결과 학업소진 및 학업동기에 따른 잠재집단은 총 4개로 분류되었다. 고학업동기-저소진집단(집단1)은 타집단 대비 학업에 대한 내재적 동기가 강하고 학업소진은 평균보다 낮았으며, 평균집단(집단2)는 평균수준의 학업동기 및 학업소진을 보였다. 무동기-반감냉소집단(집단3)은 타집단 대비 무동기 수준이 높으며 학업소진 하위척도에서 반감과 냉소가 평균보다 높았으며, 마지막으로 저학업동기-고소진집단(집단4)은 학업에 대한 외적동기와 무동기가 강하고 전반적으로 학업소진의 정도가 높았다. 또한 각 잠재집단에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과, 학업요구(과업), 완벽주의 및 귀인성향(개인), 우울(정서), 부모지지(환경)가 모두 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 결론 본 연구는 고등학교 3학년의 학업적응에 있어 가장 중요한 두 요인으로 꼽히는 학업소진 및 학업동기 유형에 따른 잠재프로파일분석을 통해 분류된 각 집단의 영향요인까지 살펴봄으로써, 개인 내적 및 외적의 다양한 4가지 차원(과업, 개인, 정서, 환경)에서 개별 학생들의 학업적응 유형을 예측할 수 있는 이론적 토대를 마련하였다

영문 초록

Objectives This study classified latent profiles centered on academic burnout and motivation of delinquency of college entrance examinees, and tested whether task, individuals, emotional, and environmental variables significantly affect this classification. Methods Latent Profile Analysis(LPA) was conducted for 881 college entrance examinees recruited from eight schools in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province. This resulted in classification of latent profiles according to participants’ academic burnout and motivation types. Subsequently, logistic regression was conducted to explore factors that explain the differences between the derived subgroups. Results As a result of the analysis, there were a total of four latent groups based on academic burnout and motivation. Higher academic motivation-lower burnout group(group1) showed a strong intrinsic motivation for studying compared to the other groups and academic burnout was lower than average, and the average group(group2) showed average academic motivation and burnout. Amotivation-hatred, cynicism group(group3) showed a higher level of amotivation for studying compared to the other groups and had higher hatred and cynicism than average on a subscale of academic burnout, and finally lower academic motivation-higher burnout group(group4) had a higher level of external motivation and amotivation for studying compared to the other groups and academic burnout was higher than average. Furthermore, the analysis of factors affecting each latent group showed that academic needs(task), perfectionism and attribution(individuals), depression(emotion) and parental support(environment) all had significant effects. Conclusions This study suggested the theoretical foundation for predicting individual students academic adaptation types at four different dimensions(task, individuals, emotion, and environment) by examining the influencing factors of each latent group classified by academic burnout and motivation type.
