지적장애 특수학교의 원격수업에 대한 학부모의 지원요구 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 코로나 시기에 지적장애 특수학교 학생의 원격수업에 따른 참여 실태, 학부모의 지원 현황과 만족도를 조사하고, 그에 따른 설립형태 및 학교 소재지에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는지 분석하여 향후 실시될 수 있는 원격수업을 위한 학부모의 지원요구를 탐색하고자 하였다. 방법 전국 지적장애 특수학교 21개교 초⋅중⋅고학생의 학부모를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 수합된 총 224부의 설문지를 SPSS 21.1 프로그램을 이용하여 문항에 따라 빈도분석 및 기술통계를 사용하여 결과를 산출하였다. 학교 설립주체에 따른 구분과 학교 소재지에 따른 빈도 차이를 분석하기 위해 카이제곱검정을 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모는 원격수업 참여를 위하여 물리적 환경과 자녀의 수업참여를 위한 지원을 하고 있었고, 원격수업의 환경, 원격수업의 방법 및 내용에서 설립형태와 학교 소재지에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 원격수업 지원현황은 학생의 어머니가 가장 많은 부분의 지원을 하고, 지원의 정도는 대부분 전반적 지원을 하였으며, 자녀 돌봄 부분이 가장 힘듦을 호소하였다. 지원 유형에서 설립형태에 따라 차이를 보였고, 학교 소재지에는 차이가 없었다. 만족도는 보통이하로 분석되었고 수도권과 기타지역에 따라 만족도의 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 학부모들은 원격수업에서 사전안내와 의견수렴, 수업유형의 개선과 다양한 교수방법, 특수교육의 특성을 살린 행⋅재정적 지원을 요구하였다. 또한 수업유형은 설립형태와 학교 소재지에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 결론 코로나 팬데믹 시기에 실시된 특수학교 학부모를 대상으로 한 원격수업 현황과 원격수업의 지원 요구에 따른 분석은 향후 포스트 코로나 시대의 특수학교 원격수업의 내실화를 위한 유용한 정책자료로 제공될 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the intellectual disability student family’s participation in remote learning during the pandemic and was to figure out the support demands by parents for strengthening the remote learning of special education which could conduct later after analyzing the differences between the forms of school establishment and the location of schools. Methods The subjects were 244 parents in 21 special education schools in South Korea. The surveys were collected through parents’ responses. The outcome of the survey was analyzed through frequency analysis and descriptive statistic using SPSS 21.1. A Chi-square test was performed to find out the forms of school establishment and the frequency differences depends on class levels. Results The results are as follows; Firstly, to participate the remote learning, the family provided the physical environment and parents assisted their children to join classes. Second, the current situation for remote learning supports is below. Mothers supported the students the most and most of them supported their children. The hardest part of assisting students is taking care of them. In terms of types of support, there was a dissimilarity depends on forms of schools, however, there were no differences depends on locations. The average of parents’ satisfaction for remote learning was below ‘neither satisfied nor dissatisfied’. Depends on the locations, there was a meaningful difference. Third, the parents requested not only that the school needs to listen parent’s voice and give a better explanation but also that the school improves the type of remote learning, various pedagogy, and administrative &financial assistance specialized in characteristic of special education schools. Also, there were meaningful differences depends on establishments of school and locations of school in terms of class type. Conclusions These results would be useful as policy data to support parents for strengthening remote learning.
