역량강화를 위한 메이커 교육 활성화 사례 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 메이커 교육에 대한 사례 분석을 통해 문제점을 도출하고 개선 방안을 제시하여 역량강화를 위한 메이커 교육을 활성화하고자 하는 데 있다. 방법 사례 연구, 비교 연구, 면담 방법 등 연구 방법을 활용하였다. 구체적으로 서울시 소재 메이커 모델학교인 고등학교 4개 학교를 대상으로 사례 분석 및 비교 분석을 하였고, 메이커 교육 관련 담당자와 전문가를 대상으로 2021년 6월 7일부터 7월 6일까지 질문지를 사용하여 인터뷰 면접(FGI)을 진행하였다. 결과 교육 내용(프로그램) 편성⋅운영 측면에서, 4개 학교 모두 각 학교의 특성과 교육목표에 맞추어 정규교과와 연계하여 프로그램을 운영하고 있었으며 각 학교의 여건을 고려한 정규교과에 맞춘 역량강화를 위한 교육 내용 편성, 창의적 체험 활동을 운영하고 있다. 인프라 구축 측면에서, 기존의 특정 공간을 메이커 교육할 수 있는 공간으로 변경하여 수요에 맞는 전문성을 갖춘 새로운 시설을 정비하였다. 교원의 전문성 신장 및 역량강화 측면에서, 전문가들을 통한 디지털 기기 활용 및 프로그램 개발을 위한 연수, 기존의 교사에 대한 재교육을 진행하고 있다. 운영 성과 공유⋅확산(환류) 측면에서는, 메이커 교육 문화 확산을 위해 지역사회와 함께 메이커 교육의 성과와 결과를 함께 할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 성과나 결과에 대한 평가 시스템이 구축되어 있지 않다. 결론 메이커 교육은 정규교육과정과 연계한 다양한 교육 내용(프로그램)을 개발함과 동시에 메이커 교육 확산을 위한 학교와 지역사회 간의 인프라를 구축해야 한다. 또한 역량강화를 위한 메이커 교육을 활성화하기 위해 교사의 전문성 및 역량을 강화해야 하며 정부, 학교, 지역사회는 공동으로 메이커교육의 결과 및 성과를 공유⋅확산(환류) 체제를 구축하는 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to revitalize maker education to strengthen competency by deriving problems and suggesting improvement measures through case analysis on maker education. Methods Research methods such as case study, comparative study and interview methods were utilized. Four high schools located in Seoul were selected as model schools for case study. Interviews (FGI) were conducted from June 7 to July 6, 2021 using structuralized questionnaires for maker education officials and experts. Results In terms of the compilation and operation of educational programs, the four case schools have developed educational content and carried out creative activities according to the characteristics and educational objectives of each school, combined with the regular curriculum operation programs according to the conditions of each school to strengthen the students competencies. In terms of infrastructure construction, the existing specific space was changed into a space for maker education, and new professional facilities were improved to meet the needs. In order to enhance teachers professionalism and strength, experts were invited to re-educated the teachers while using of digital machines and also the schools developed various projects to provide training to teachers. In terms of sharing and spreading(feedbacking) the results of the operation, various programs were designed to share with local communities in order to promote maker education culture. But so far, the system to evaluate the performances or outcomes has not been established. Conclusions Maker education should develop various educational contents (programs) linked to regular curriculum while establishing infrastructure between schools and communities to spread maker education. In addition, teachers expertise and capabilities should be strengthened to revitalize maker education to strengthen the competency, and the government, schools and communities should jointly share and disseminate the results and performance of maker education.
