한국 간호사의 문화역량 개념분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 한국 간호사의 문화역량에 대한 개념을 명확히 정의하기 위해 시행되었다. 방법 Walker와 Avant의 개념분석 8단계를 사용하였다. 구체적 절차는 ① 개념 선정, ② 개념분석 목적 선정, ③ 개념사용범위 확인, ④ 개념의 결정적 속성확인, ⑤ 모델사례제시, ⑥ 개념의 부가사례(경계사례, 반대사례, 연관사례), ⑧ 선행요인과 결과 확인, 8) 경험적 준거확인이다. 결과 최종 17개의 문헌에서, 한국 간호사의 문화역량에 대한 5개의 속성은 문화경험, 문화인식, 문화지식, 의사소통기술, 문화수용성과 효능감으로 나타났다. 선행요인은 한국사회구성원의 다원화, 개인과 조직적 차원의 노력 및 지원, 문화 이해와 열린 마음, 지속적인 문화교육과 훈련을 포함했다. 문화역량의 결과는 간호의 질 향상, 간호사 직무스트레스 감소, 간호사 자기 효능감 증진, 건강형평성 증진으로 확인되었다. 결론 본 연구는 한국 간호사의 문화역량의 개념 분석과 이해를 통해 대상자에게 문화적으로 더 적합한 간호를 제공하여 간호의 질 개선하는데 기초자료 제공에 기여할 것이다. 그리고 국내 임상 간호현장에서 적용 가능한 간호사 문화역량에 대한 지침의 개발과 관련된 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study was conducted to clearly define the concept of cultural competence of Korean nurses. Methods Research was conducted using Walker & Avant’s conceptual analysis prosess. The eight steps of this method are: ① Selecting a concept, ② Determining the aims or purposes of analysis, ③ Identifying all uses of the concept, ④ Determining the defining attributes of the concept, ⑤ Constructing a model case, ⑥ Constructing borderline, contrary, invented, and illegitimate cases, ⑦ Identifying antecedents and consequences, and ⑧ Defining empirical references. Results In the final 17 literature, five attributes to the cultural competence of Korean nurses were shown as cultural experience, cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, communication skills, cultural acceptance and efficacy. Antcedents included diversity of members in Korean society, individual and organizational efforts and support, cultural understanding and openness, continuous cultural education and training. The consequences of cultural competence were identified to improve the quality of nursing, reduce the stress of nurses duties, increase the self-efficacy of nurses, and improve health equity. Conclusions This study will contribute to improve the quality of nursing by providing more culturally suitable nursing to patienta through the conceptual analysis and understanding of the cultural competence of Korean nurses. And research and guidelines on the nurse cultural competence at clinical nursing sites in Korea is needed.
