초등학교와 중학교 체육 교과서의 축구 활동 내용 분석

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 2015 체육과 교육과정에 의해 집필된 초등학교, 중학교 체육 교과서의 영역형 경쟁활동 중 축구 종목 활동에 대한 내용을 분석하여 이후 진행될 체육 교과서 집필에 의미있는 실질적 자료를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 체육과 초등학교 3-4학년군 검정 교과서 7종과 중학교 검정 교과서 7종 총 14종의 검정 교과서의 영역형 경쟁활동의 축구 종목 활동에 대한 학습 내용을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 선정된 분석 대상을 이순옥(2006)이 개발한 교과서 분석 방법을 기본 바탕으로 본 연구의 목적에 부합하도록 수정 보완하여 체제, 내용, 교수⋅학습 요소를 분석 준거로 설정하였다. 또한 교과서 내용 분석에 앞서 체육 교과 교수⋅학습 분야와 축구 종목 분야 두 측면의 전문가 집단을 구성하여 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 초등학교 체육 교과서의 내용 구성 형식은 ‘영역형 경쟁 활동의 개괄’, ‘축구형 게임 기능’, ‘축구형 게임 전략’, ‘축구형 게임 수행’, ‘단원 마무리’로 구성되었다. 중학교 체육 교과서의 내용 구성 형식은 ‘영역형 경쟁 활동의 개괄’, ‘축구 종목 특성’, ‘축구 기능’, ‘축구 전략’, ‘축구 경기 수행’, ‘영역형 경쟁 단원 마무리’ 형식으로 제시되었다. 둘째, 축구 기본 규칙에 대한 설명 등 용어의 선택이나 설명에서 오류가 나타났으며, 특히 운동 기능의 기본자세에 대한 내용 설명 삽화에서 오류가 가장 두드러지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 간접체험활동이 제시되고 있었으나 주로 운동 기능 학습에 대한 내용을 제외한 학습 내용에 편중된 현상을 보이고 있었다. 결론 초등학교와 중학교 체육 교과서의 학습 내용이 내용의 범위 확장과 같은 계열성은 비교적 부족한 것으로 판단되며, 이는 체육 교과서 집필의 근간이 되는 상위 문서인 체육과 교육과정 문서에 그 원인이 있다고 본다. 또한 스포츠 종목의 운동 기능에 대한 내용의 오류를 줄이기 위해 교과서 집필 과정에서 해당 스포츠 종목 전문가와의 협업 과정이 요구된다. 마지막으로 체육 교과서는 교수⋅학습 활동의 다양성과 균형성이 요구되었다.

영문 초록

Objectives The objective of this study is to provide the practical data significant for writing the physical education textbooks in the future by analyzing the contents of soccer activity among the territorial competitive activities in physical education textbooks following the 2015 revised physical education curriculum. Methods As the subjects of analysis, this study selected total 14 kinds of authorized textbooks including seven kinds of authorized physical education textbooks for Grade 3-4 of elementary school and seven kinds of authorized physical education textbooks for middle school. The selected subjects of analysis were modified/complemented suitable for the objective of this study based on the textbook analysis method developed by Lee Sun-Ok(2006). After setting up the standard of analysis, the content analysis was conducted. Results First, in the form of composition, the contents of physical education textbooks for elementary school were composed of ‘overview of territorial competitive activities’, ‘functions of soccer-type game’, ‘strategies of soccer-type game’, ‘performance of soccer-type game’, and ‘wrap-up of unit’. The contents of physical education textbooks for middle school were composed of ‘overview of territorial competitive activities’, ‘characteristics of soccer event’, ‘functions of soccer’, ‘strategies of soccer’, ‘performance of soccer game’, and ‘wrap-up of territorial competition unit’. Second, there were errors in the selection or explanation of terms like explanation of basic rules of soccer. Third, even though the indirect experience activities were presented, they were mostly biased in learning contents except for the learning contents of exercise function. Conclusions The learning contents of physical education textbooks for elementary school and middle school show the relatively insufficient sequence like the expansion of content scope. There should be the process of collaboration with experts in relevant sport events. Lastly, the physical education textbooks needed the diversity and balance of teaching/learning activities.
