국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초기 성인기를 대상으로 학교폭력 피해경험과 생활만족도의 관계를 용서, 침습적 반추 및 사회불안의 순차 매개효과를 중심으로 알아보았다. 방법 이를 위해 전국의 만 19~24세, 남녀를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하여, 총 533명의 자료를 수집하였으며, 학교폭력 피해경험, 용서, 침습적 반추, 사회불안 및 생활만족도 변인으로 이루어진 구조방정식 모형을 설정하였다. 이를 통해, 학교폭력 피해경험이 사회불안과 생활만족도에 미치는 간접효과를 알아본 후, 학교폭력 피해경험에서 사회불안 및 생활만족도에 이르는 여러 개별 경로의 단독 매개효과와 순차 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 결과 첫째, 모든 연구 변인은 통계적으로 유의한 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 사회불안과 생활만족도에 대한 학교폭력 피해경험의 간접효과가 유의하였다. 이에 따르면, 학교폭력 피해경험은 용서와 침습적 반추를 매개로 사회불안을 유의하게 증가시켰으며, 용서, 침습적 반추 및 사회불안을 매개로 생활만족도를 유의하게 감소시켰다. 셋째, 개별경로의 유의성을 검증한 결과, 학교폭력 피해경험과 사회불안의 관계에서 용서의 단독 매개효과, 학교폭력 피해경험과 생활만족도의 관계에서 사회불안의 단독 매개효과, 용서와 사회불안의 순차 매개효과 등은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 반면, 학교폭력 피해경험과 사회불안의 관계에서 침습적 반추의 단독 매개효과, 용서와 침습적 반추의 순차 매개효과는 유의하였다. 또한 학교폭력 피해경험과 생활만족도 간 관계에서는 용서의 단독 매개효과, 침습적 반추의 단독 매개효과, 용서와 침습적 반추의 순차 매개효과, 침습적 반추와 사회불안의 순차 매개효과 및 용서, 침습적 반추, 사회불안의 순차 매개효과가 유의하였다. 결론 본 연구는 학교폭력을 경험한 사람들의 생활만족도 증진을 위해서는 용서 수준의 증진을 통해 침습적 반추 수준을 감소시킴으로써 사회불안을 감소시키는 개입의 필요성을 보여주며, 학교폭력 피해경험에서 사회불안 및 생활만족도에 이르는 다양한 경로에 대한 종합적인 고려가 필요함을 보여준다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study investigated the relationship between the experience of school violence victimization and life satisfaction in early adulthood, focusing on the sequential mediating effects of forgiveness, intrusive rumination, and social anxiety. Methods To this end, we collected 533 data by conducting an online survey of men and women aged 19-24 across the country. A structural equation model composed of factors such as the experience of school violence victimization, forgiveness, intrusive rumination, social anxiety, and life satisfaction was established. Through this, the indirect effect of the experience of school violence victimization on social anxiety and life satisfaction was investigated. Then, the single and sequential mediating effects of several individual pathways from the experience of school violence victimization to social anxiety and life satisfaction were investigated. Results As a result of the study, there was a significant correlation among all the study variables. Second, the indirect effect of the experience of school violence victimization on social anxiety and life satisfaction was statistically significant. According to this, the experience of school violence victimization significantly increased social anxiety through forgiveness and intrusive rumination and significantly decreased life satisfaction through forgiveness, intrusive rumination, and social anxiety. Third, as a result of examining the significance of individual pathways, the single mediating effect of forgiveness in the relationship between the experience of school violence victimization and social anxiety, the single mediating effect of social anxiety in the relationship between the experience of school violence victimization and life satisfaction, and the sequential mediating effect of forgiveness and social anxiety were not statistically significant. On the other hand, the single mediating effect of intrusive rumination and the sequential mediating effect of forgiveness and intrusive rumination were significant in the relationship between the experience of school violence victimization and social anxiety. Moreover, between the experience of school violence victimization and life satisfaction, the single mediating effect of forgiveness, the single mediating effect of intrusive rumination, the sequential mediating effect of forgiveness and intrusive rumination, the sequential mediating effect of intrusive rumination and social anxiety, the sequential mediating effect of forgiveness, intrusive rumination, and social anxiety was statistically significant. Conclusions This study shows the need for interventions to reduce social anxiety by reducing the level of intrusive rumination by enhancing the forgiveness level to improve the life satisfaction of those who have experienced school violence. Moreover, it shows the need for comprehensive consideration of various pathways from the experience of school violence victimization to social anxiety and life satisfaction.
