오일풀링(Oil pulling) 요법의 유효성 검증방법에 관한 연구

국문 초록

오일풀링은 인도의학서 ‘아유르베다(Ayurveda)’에도 실린 전통적인 의술로서 건강을 위해 고대에서부터 전해져 오는 방법으로 식물성오일을 한 스푼 입에 머금고 가글을 통해 구강 내에 있는 세균과 입안의 독소를 오일과 함께 제거하여 면역을 강화시키는 전통적인 디톡스 민간요법이다. 본 연구는 식물성 오일을 활용하여 피부상재균의 성장 저해를 알아보고자 하였다. 실험에는 5가지의 피부상재균을 사용하였다. 오일과 균주를 각각 혼합한 뒤 고체배지에 도말하고 배양 후 측정하였으며, 흡광도는 오일과 균주를 시간대별로 595 nm에서 Microplate reader로 확인하였다. 그 결과 식물성 오일로 균주의 성장에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때 식물성 오일로 오일풀링을 20분 동안 하는 경우 효과가 있다고 사료된다.

영문 초록

Oil pulling is a traditional indian medical Ayurveda has been passed down from ancient time, which is an tranditional detoxification therapy that strengthens the immune system by removing germs in the mouth and toxins from the mouth with the oil. This study investigated the growth inhibitory effect of the human skin pathogen on vegetable oil. In the experiment, five types of dermatophytes were used. The oil and strain were mixed together and then plated on a solid medium and cultured. The absorbance was determined with a microplate reader at 595 nm by time of oil and strain. As a result, vegetable oil could be confirmed to determine the effect of strain growth. It was confirmen that oil pooling for 20minutes with vegetable oil is thought to be effective.
