국문 초록

2015년 인성교육진흥법이 제정된 이후, 많은 대학들이 인성교육 프로그램을 개 발하여 교육에 적용하고 있다. 대학의 인성교육 프로그램은 대학의 건학이념을 바탕으로 독자적인 프로그램을 개발하고자 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 하지만 현실은 각 대학의 프로그램이 크게 다르지 않음을 보여준다. 그 이유는 건학이념이 다르더라도 인성을 교육하는 내용은 그 범주가 제한적이기 때문이다. 그래서 대학마다의 인성교육프로그램을 보면 구체적인 시행 프로그램에 있어서의 차이가 보일지언정, 프로그램을 통해 함양하고자 하는 인성의 내용은 대동소이하다. 대학마다의 인성교육프로그램이 크게 변별력을 갖지는 않지만, 그 배경적 이론은 다르다. 본 논문은 바로 이점을 분명히 밝히고자 하는 목적에서 연구되었다. 동국대학교 경주캠퍼스의 인성교육은 ‘참사람인성교육’을 지향한다. 참사람이란 지혜와 자비와 정진을 통해 구현된다. 그리고 그것을 한 마디로 표현하면, ‘세계와 타인과 자신과의 올바른 관계맺기’라고 할 수 있다. 동국대학교는 비교적 늦다고 할 수 있는 2017년 2월 참사람인성교육센터를 설립하였다. 후발주자이지만, 그 이전부터 진행하고 있던 RC교육센터, 사회봉사인증제도, 인성소양교과과정 등을 통해 인성 함양을 위한 다양한 활동을 해왔다. 한편 불교 종립학교의 건학이념에 바탕한 인성교육이 종교적 테두리를 넘어서 보편적인 인성 함양으로 확대될 수 있도록 하는 것이 앞으로의 과제가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

Since the 2015 Character Education Promotion Act was enacted, many universities have developed character education programs and applied them to education. The University s character education program is making a variety of efforts to develop its own programs based on the Foundational Spirit of the university. But reality shows that the programs of each university are not so different. The reason for this is that even if the Foundational Spirit of the university is different, the category of character education is limited. Therefore, although there are differences in the concrete implementation programs of the individuality education programs of each university, the contents of the personality to be cultivated through the program are not so different. Although the character education program of each university does not have a big difference, its background theory is different. This paper has been studied for the purpose of clarifying this point. The personality education of Dongguk University Gyeongju campus is aimed at the character education for a sincere person(참사람) . A sincere person(참사람 ) is realized through wisdom, compassion, and exertion. And briefly speaking, it can say, Making the right relationship with the world and with others. Dongkuk University established the Chracter Education Center in February 2017, which is relatively late. Although it started late, Dongguk University has been carrying out various activities for the promotion of character through RC Education Center, Social Service Certification System, and Education Curriculum which were conducted before. On the other hand, it will be a challenge for the character education based on the Foundational Spirit of Buddhist schools to be extended beyond religious boundaries to universal character development.
