국문 초록

본 연구는 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생들의 학습자 중심 발표 수행평가를 위한 루브릭을 개발하여 교육 현장에서 이를 활용하는 방안을 모색하기 위한 목적에서 이루어졌다. 최근 한국 내 대학에서는 학문목적으로 유학을 오는 외국인 유학생들이 증가함에 따라 이들이 대학 수업에서 요구되는 과제 수행의 효율적 운영을 위한 다양한 방안 마련에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 현재 외국인 유학생들의 대학 입학하기 위해서는 한국어 능력시험(TOPIK)을 치러야 한다. 하지만 아이러니하게도 대부분의 외국인 유학생들은 이 시험을 통해 일정 수준의 숙달도 성적을 취득한 후에 대학에 진학하지만 실제 대학 교육 현장에서 수행되는 이들의 한국어 능력은 학문목적의 학업을 수행하기에 매우 부족하다는 문제점들이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해서는 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생들이 실제적으로 필요로 하는 발표 수행 능력은 학습자 중심의 수행과제 평가를 통해 학습자 스스로가 자신의 문제점과 수행능력의 향상도를 측정하는 방법이 필요하다고 보았다. 이를 위하여 본고는 선행연구를 고찰하고 이를 통해 학문목적 학습에 관한 구체적인 영역을 구분하고 이를 기반으로 대학(원)에서 외국인 유학생들이 학습자 중심의 발표 수행평가를 위한 평가범주, 구인 설정, 평가 내용 등을 루브릭 설정을 위한 기준으로 마련하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 발표 수행 평가 루브릭은 대학에 재학 중인 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 한 발표 수업에서 수행평가를 위한 도구로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 본 연구는 학문목적 발표 수행평가를 위한 루브릭 개발의 첫 연구로서 연구 방법과 설계 면에서 많은 아쉬움이 있다. 하지만, 본 연구는 향후 현장 연구의 후속 사례연구를 통해 체계적인 연구로 발전시켜 나갈 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a rubric for evaluating the performance of learner - centered presentations of foreign students attending university and to find ways to utilize them in the educational field. Recently, as the number of international students who come to study abroad for academic purposes in Korea has been increasing, they are paying attention to various ways to efficiently manage the tasks required in university classes. At present, foreign students taking TOPIK assessment to enter the university. Ironically, however, most international students have gone through college after attaining a certain level of proficiency in this test, but their Korean language proficiency, which is practiced in actual college education, is not sufficient for the academic purposes. The Korean language proficiency of these students shows that they are insufficient to carry out academic study. In order to solve these problems in this research, it is necessary for the foreign students who are enrolled in the university to actually perform the presentation task ability in order to measure the improvement of their own problems and performance ability of the learner-centered performance evaluation. For this purpose, this study examines previous studies and identifies specific areas of study for academic purposes. Based on this, the evaluation criteria, the recruitment setting, and the evaluation contents for the learner -centered presentation evaluation conducted by the foreign students in the university were prepared as the criteria for the rubric setting. It is expected that the evaluation rubric presented in this study can be used as a tool for performance evaluation in the presentation class for foreign students attending the university. This study is the first study of rubric development for the evaluation of the academic performance presentations. However, this study will be developed into systematic research through follow-up case studies in the future field studies.
