네트워크 텍스트 분석법에 의한 국내 STEAM 교육 연구물의 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 STEAM 교육 관련 연구 성과물의 분석을 통해 STEAM 교육 연구의 동향을 확인하고 후속 연구의 방향을 제시함에 있다. 이를 위해 STEAM 교육 관련 선행 연구물을 수집·선별하여 961개 성과물(학위논문 509, 전문학술지 논문, 492)을 선정하고 KrKwic, UCINET 6.0 프로그램을 사용하여 네트워크 텍스트 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과를 통해 얻은 결론은 첫째, 학위논문과 전문 학술지논문 모두 공통적으로 ‘프로그램’, ‘개발’, ‘과학’, ‘초등’ 주제어가 대체적으로 높은 빈 도로 나타났다. 둘째, 빈도분석 결과에서는 STEAM 관련 연구가 특정 분야에 집중된 경향은 있었으나, 연결중심성, 밀도 등의 네트워크 텍스트 분석에서는 비교적 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행되었다. 셋째, STEAM 교육의 연구물은 ‘초등 과학 중심 프로그램 개발과 학생들에게 미치는 효과’가 주로 수행된 연구의 방향임을 확인하였다. 넷째, 학위논문과 전문학술지 모두 ‘프로그램 개발’과 ‘효과 및 영향’ 의 공통 클러스터가 있었으나, 나머지 클러스터에서는 다소 차이가 나타났다. 다섯째, STEAM 교육 연구물은 과학, 수학, 미술, 기술 4개의 교과에서 주로 많이 연구되었고, 교과별 연구 방향에는 다소 차이가 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to collect and select Korean STEAM educational articles from 2007 to 2016, and to identify current status and overall trends of STEAM education articles in Korea, and to provide basic data for the development of STEAM convergence education, and to suggest directions for latter study. According to screening procedure, 961 subjects (509 master s and doctoral degrees, 452 journals) were finally selected for the study. The KrKwic program and the NetDraw 2.161 program from UCINET 6.0 were used for network text analysis. The followings are conclusions obtained from the results of this study. First, as a result of analyzing the text frequency, program , development , science , and elementary were found to have a high frequency in general. Second, STEAM -related research tends to be more concentrated, but in the analysis of network texts such as connection centrality and density, research is being conducted in a relatively wide variety of fields. Third, through the connection strength by visualizing the network text analysis results, it was confirmed that the main direction of the research was ‘Developing program focusing on science subject in elementary school and the effects on students’. Fourth, structural equivalence analysis was used to classify the clusters into four clusters, and their characteristics were identified. Fifth, STEAM education research papers are submitted in science, mathematics, art, technology, and individual characteristics were grasped.
