대학 강의 중심 수업에서의 학습자 질문 활성화를 위한 교수설계 모형 개발

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대학에서 가장 보편적인 수업 형태인 강의 중심 수업에 적합한 학습자 질문 활성화 전략을 개발하기 위한 교수설계 모형을 개발하는 것이다. 일방적 강의에 학습자 질문을 활성화하여 학습자의 심도있는 학습을 유도하고,교수자가 학습자의 상황을 파악하여 소통을 통해 수업을 개선할 수 있도록 지원하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 문헌 분석, 전문가 자문을 실시하여 2017년 1학기에 교수설계 모형 초안을 개발하고, 2017년 2학기에 대학에서 강의 중심 수업으로 운영되는 4개 강좌에 실제 적용하여 현장 평가를 실시하였다. 이후 현장 평가 결과를 바탕으로 수정된 모형의 타당화를 위해 2018년 1월과 6월에 두 차례의 전문가 검토를 실시하였다. 개발된 모형은 ADDIE 모형을 참조하여 6단계(준비-분석-설계-개발-실행-평가) 로 구성하였으며, 학습자 질문 활성화 전략은 학습자 질문 생성 과정을 반영하여 각 과정을 촉진할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이 모형에서는 각 수업이 갖는 맥락을 고려하여 현실적으로 적용 가능한 전략을 개발하도록 안내하는데 초점을 맞추었으며, 주 사용 대상자인 대학 교수자의 사용 편이성을 위해 설명과 예시를 곁들인 워크시트 형태로 개발하였다. 향후 모형 개선을 위해 다양한 학문 영역의 강의에 적용하여 학문 영역 특성에 적합한 효과적인 전략을 추가적으로 개발할 것을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop an instructional design model that assists instructors in the implementation of learner-generated questions in lecture-oriented classes. We chose lecture-oriented classes because they are the most common form of teaching in Korean universities. By facilitating the use of learner-generated questions in one-way lectures, our goal was to strengthen learner s understanding of content, promote deep thinking, and improve students’ questioning ability. This strategy was anticipated to help instructors grasp learners’ understanding, opinions, and questions, improve their lectures, and enhance communication. We developed a draft of the instructional design model by conducting a literature review and consulting with experts. To field test the model in the fall semester 2017, we applied it to four lecture-oriented university classes. Based on the results of the field test, we conducted two expert reviews to validate the modified mode in January and June, 2018. The model was composed of 6 steps (preparation - analysis - design - development -implementation - evaluation) with reference to the ADDIE model. The strategies to enhance learner-generated questions were designed to facilitate each step of question generation. The model focused on developing practically applicable strategies in the context of each lectured-oriented class. We provided target users, who were university instructors, with a worksheet with descriptions and examples for ease of use. In order to improve the model, its application can be tested in various academic disciplines so that effective discipline-specific strategies can be developed.
