대학생의 가족기능과 대학생활적응의 관계에서 성격강점과 자기효능감의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 가족기능이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향에서 성격강점과 자기효능감의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 부산광역시 소재 사립 D 대학교의 대학생 261명을 대상으로 하여 가족기능 척도, 성격강점 척도, 자기효능감 척도, 대학생활적응 척도에 대한 설문을 2015년 9월 14일부터 2주간 실시하였다. 가족 기능, 성격강점, 자기효능감, 대학생활적응의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 하였으며, 성격강점과 자기효능감의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986) 가 제안한 매개효과 분석단계에 따라 순차적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족기능, 성격강점, 자기효능감, 대학생활적응 간에는 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 성격강점은 가족기능과 대학생활적응의 관계에서 완전 매개효과가 있었다. 셋째, 자기효능감은 가족기능과 대학생활적응의 관계에서 완전 매개효과가 있었다. 이는 대학생이 적응적인 대학생활을 위해서 가족기능이 주는 영향력도 중요하지만, 대학생의 성격강점과 자기효능감을 향상시키는 것이 대학생활 적응을 위해 중요한 역할을 수행할 수 있음을 보여준다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의 및 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study was aimed to examine the mediating effects of character-strengths and self-efficacy in the relationship between family function and student adjustment to college. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, The subjects were 261 students from D University located in Busan. Instruments used in the study were as follows: Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale-Ⅲ(FACES-Ⅲ) scale, Character-Strengths Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale and Revised Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire(RSACQ). Based on the results of this study, the major findings were as follows: First, according to the analysis of the correlation in family function, character -strengths, self-efficacy and student adjustment to college had a statistical correlation. Second, there is complete mediation effect of character-strengths in the relationship between family function and student adjustment to college. Third, there is complete mediation effect of self-efficacy in the relationship between family function and student adjustment to college. The results of this study showed that character-strengths and self-efficacy function as a complete mediator in the relationship between family function and student adjustment to college. Discussion and Conclusion are included as suggestions for future research based on the results.
