유아교사를 통해 본 사진의 의미와 사진 찍기의 어려움

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사들을 통해 본 사진의 의미와 사진 찍기의 어려움이 무엇인지를 심층면담을 통해 규명하고자 했다. 면담은 2015년 9월 12일부터 2015년 11월 20일까지 진행되었다. 연구 참여자는 수도권에 위치하고 있는 어린이집 교사 9명으로 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사들이 인식한 사진의 의미는 ‘학부모와의 소통 창구’, ‘교수-학습 과정의 기록’, ‘추억의 저장고: 제자로 기억하기’, ‘교육과정에 활용하기’인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사들이 인식한 사진 찍기의 어려움은 ‘유아와의 상호작용을 방해하는 사진 찍기’, ‘유아의 활동을 방해하는 사진 찍기’, ‘자연스러운 순간 포착이 어려운 사진 찍기’, ‘네모난 거짓말, 사진 찍기’인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 유아교육기관에서 사진을 활용한 교육과 사진 찍기를 활성화하기 위해서는 교사들이 인식한 사진 찍기의 어려움을 감소시킬 수 있는 실질적 해결 방안이 제공되어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study tried to find out the meanings of photographs and the difficulties of taking pictures that are seen from early childhood teacher through in-depth interviews. In-depth interviews were conducted from September 12, 2015 to November 20, 2015. The subject of the study was 9 Daycare Center teachers in the metropolitan area and the result of the study is as follows. First, the meanings of photos that were recognized by early childhood teachers were ‘window of communication with parents’, ‘record of teaching-learning process’, ‘reservoir of memories: remembering kids as students’, and ‘using it for education process’. Second, the difficulties that early childhood teachers found were ‘taking pictures that inhibit the interaction with children’, ‘taking pictures that interfere with the activities of children’, ‘taking pictures of spontaneous moments that are hard to capture’, and ‘taking photos, the square lies’. In conclusion, in order to promote taking photographs for education and other purposes, this study implies that there should be realistic solutions to reduce the difficulties that teachers feel in taking photographs.
