초·중·고 학부모의 교육기부 참여 실태 및 활성화 방안 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 초·중·고 학부모의 교육기부 실태 파악 및 활성화 방안 모색을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 36개 학부모 학교참여 시범학교 중 7개교(초등3개, 중등3개, 고등1개)의 학부모 730명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모 응답자 중 39.0%(285명)의 학부모가 지난 1년간 교육기부에 참여하였다. 학부모 교육기부는 주로 ‘안전지도활동’ 이나 ‘학교교육 모니터링’ 위주로 이루어졌으며, 초등학교, 읍면지역, 비취업모의 참여율이 높았다. 둘째, 교육 기부 참여 학부모의 대부분은 교육기부 활동에 대해 만족하였으며, 자신의 교육기부가 학교교육에 기여한다고 인식하였다. 초등학교 학부모의 교육기부 만족도가 상대적으로 높았다. 교육기부의 학교교육 기여도에 대한 인식은 초등학교, 비취업모의 경우에 상대적으로 더 높았다. 셋째, 학부모가 생각하는 교육기부 활성화 방안의 우 선순위는 활동 시간의 다양화, 학교 및 담임교사의 적극적인 정보제공, 자신이 원하는 교육기부 활동 기회 제공, 교육기부 참여를 위한 사전교육 실시 등의 순으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 초·중·고 학부모 교육기부 연구의 기초자료로서 학부모 교육기부의 실태를 점검하고, 활성화 방안을 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the actual condition of educational contribution by parents of elementary, middle, and high school student and to explore the measures to activate it. In order to achieve this goal, we carried out a survey on 730 school parents from 7 schools (3 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 1 high school) among 36 schools which participated in the model school project for parent involvement sponsored by Ministry of Education. The main results of this study are as follows. First, a total of 285 school parents, which accounts for 39.0% of 730 respondents, answered that they participated in educational contribution during the past year. Safety guidance, school education monitoring are the major activities of educational contribution by the school parents. Also, participation rates of the activities were higher in elementary, rural area and non-working mother. Second, most of the school parents who had experience of participation were satisfied with the educational donation activity, and thought their participation contributed to the school education. Elementary school parents were more satisfied with their educational contribution than middle and high school parents. An awareness of contributiveness of educational contribution is higher in elementary, non-working mother. Third, the order of priority which the school parents thought for activating educational contribution was diversification of educational contribution activity hours, active offering of information by both school and class teacher, offering the opportunity for the educational contribution activity they want, conducting prior education for participating educational contribution. This study is significant in that it examines the actual condition of educational contribution as base data for the study, and suggests proposals for further activation.
